This country style kitchen is certainly a dream room for anybody that loves rustic or down home decor. The designer managed to blend primitive style with contemporary elements and modern amenities in a way that does not look mismatched or random. I think the key to their success was choosing the right kitchen design ideas to firmly establish the decor theme without making it cliche or overwhelming. The exposed barn wood beams and stone fireplace paired with beautiful painted cabinetry really set the tone for the space. A few contemporary elements like sleek granite countertops, stainless steal appliances and a fun backsplash, keep the design grounded in the 21st century and prevent it from looking too overdone. I also love the finishing details essential to all beautiful kitchens that the designer used to accent the other major design choices. My favorite is the hanging pot rack over the center island filled with beautiful antique copper pots.
White kitchen designs never fail to create a timeless look. This classical design is a recent renovation of a clients Minnesota home. The walls came down, and the space immediately opened up. To assure a continuous impression, the hardwood flooring continues throughout the great room area. The gorgeous antique gold finish chandeliers feature cascades of clear glass beads and amber glass hanging accents. The original small kitchen and adjoining dining area were merged together to establish this larger, more functional space. These leather seated stools with bronze nail heads combine elegance and structure. The espresso stained legs make a perfect transition piece for in the great room, as extra seating. From the pot filler over the stove, to the integrated refrigerator, every detail adds to this overall exquisite look. When it comes to the design of beautiful kitchens, the use of white combines each element to forge this unified effect.
When our latest client told us that they wanted an upscale country kitchen that had the feel of a period home but with all the modern amenities of a chefs kitchen, I knew we had our work cut out for us. Luckily the footprint of the room was enormous and open, giving us a ton of room for creativity. I really wanted to make a huge design statement with the kitchen cabinets so we selected these gorgeous paneled units with a ton of additional wood detailing to mimic the look of large antique hutches reminiscent of French estate homes. We tucked all appliances behind cabinetry doors to give the room a old world feel, almost as if you had stepped into the bustling beautiful kitchens of old plantation homes. To continue this theme, we added paneled ceiling with rustic exposed wood beams that have distinctly country feel. Marble countertops were the obvious choice to pair with the materials and decor we had already chosen, and beautiful aged brass fixtures polished off the look.
This clean and bright design offers a sleek kitchen backsplash tile that sets the precedence for modern design, creating a sturdy and easily cleanable surface that is sure to bring joy to the cook. The use of light and dark contrasting colors, as well as modern appliances and rich textures help to create a polished contemporary kitchen design that stands out above the rest. Use of clean lines and plenty of lightening help to create a bright and inviting atmosphere, a hallmark of beautiful kitchens. This kitchen displays plenty of counter space and storage with well placed cabinetry, organization will be a snap and elbow room a non issue. The overall feel and flow of the kitchen lends itself to a modern and classy design, which is sure to increase the overall appeal and resell value of the home and bring years of pleasure to all who use it.
This remodel was for a homeowner who wanted a traditional kitchen design that could still accommodate modern furnishings. The result is a space that has a practical layout with an elegant touch. The hardwood flooring and cabinets give it a timeless sophisticated look. By accenting with granite countertops, a white ceiling and modern recessed lighting, we added a contemporary glow that helps highlight the other architecture. We also implemented several unique kitchen island ideas to make hosting guests a breeze. A sink is built into the island so they no longer have to move back and forth between counter spaces when preparing food. Its also spacious enough for a party of four to enjoy a quick meal or post-dinner drinks under an ambient glow. There are many different kitchen styles to choose from so it took a while to find this one. We loved the contrast between the crisp, white floors and countertops and the dark, elegant cabinets. Its the perfect blend of a classic and modern kitchen. The marble backsplash and silver hardware also add a chic, fresh touch. The combination of both contemporary and traditional elements throughout the kitchen creates a very clean yet inviting feeling that we absolutely love. We want people to feel welcome. After all, beautiful kitchens are the best places to gather, catch-up with friends, and enjoy delicious food. When we bought our house it definitely wasnt exactly what we dreamed of. It was, however, in a great location and within our budget. We figured we could turn into our dream home over the years. So when it was finally time to remodel the kitchen, we were ecstatic.
