In my opinion, the best kitchen designs are neutral like this home, and can provide a fantastic backdrop to just about any style or decor palette you may want to incorporate. I think that layering is a lost art in interior design these days, and so many rooms are very one dimensional. Large or small kitchen ideas are often just white on white without much visual interest or personality. The kitchen in these photos still qualifies as layered monochromatic neutrals, but the texture and pattern that they brought in sets it apart from the boring designs that I am referring to. Notice how each element of this kitchen remodel is beautiful on its own -- the wide plank natural wood floors, slight metallic tint in the mosaic backsplash, and lets talk about this stunning cement island. When layered together, each of these elements comes together to create an unforgettable design.
This is probably one of the best kitchen designs that I have come across while looking around for modern decor inspiration for our home. We live in the mountains of Tennessee, and so many kitchen makeovers that are done down here feature a very rustic "log cabin" motif. I understand the need to blend in with the architecture of your home and of course the vibe of your area, but I still want to surround myself with the contemporary decor that I love. I had been struggling to find modern kitchen ideas that incorporate a slightly rustic element that would help the design make sense in our home. I think that this home is perfect though because it is definitely contemporary in style, but there are still small elements like the broken in leather stools, and the dark rough hewn cabinetry that have that slightly rustic or western flare to them.
Before anybody jumps on my back -- I know that these are not the best kitchen designs for everyone, but I really like how this ultra industrial space looks. In fact, I would incorporate pretty much all of the aspects of this design in our home. Only problem is, I am curious as to how to actually build out some of the major elements of this kitchen design including the cement look walls and range hood. Can anybody on here tell if it is really cement or if it is some sort of faux finish effect created by paint? Because this is a very unique look, there are not many how-to guides out there like you can find for some of the more conventional kitchen ideas 2022. That won't stop me though -- I am determined to replicate this look in our home.
I am really trying to figure out the best kitchen designs for our (mostly) contemporary style home. We have made a lot of headway since moving in -- so far completing the main living area, dining room, and first floor bathroom. The home was originally very traditional in style but our personal taste definitely leans contemporary. I want to completely guy the kitchen and install a brand new modern kitchen design to officially complete the first floor renovations and decor. The reason that we have held off is twofold. First the money aspect and, second, I have not been able to figure to exactly what I would want. That is until I found photos of this home that basically have the best kitchen cabinets that I have ever seen. We have a similar shade plank floor, but I did not want to go all white with the cabinetry. I had never considered going dark before, but I love the contrast between the light and the dark wood.
When it comes to the best kitchen designs for a modern home, I think that this one definitely takes the cake. First of all, each element from the unique glass kitchen cabinet design, to the stunning island and gorgeous brass fixtures are a piece of art in themselves. The rest of the room could have been completely plain and it still would have looked absolutely fantastic. However, they went a step further and also installed these really cool slim line units that tie everything together perfectly while still looking stunning on their own. I think that a designer or homeowner could take so many unique modern kitchen design ideas away from here, whether they want to mimic the entire thing or just draw inspiration from individual elements.
In my opinion, the best kitchen designs are ones that inspire both creativity and relaxation when you step into the space. I suppose that this is not a requirement for everybody, but I really love spending time in my kitchen creating recipes and fueling my family, so it is important to me that I have a space that is both functional and inspiring. We are working within a small kitchen design, but I am pretty sure that we could still translate the look in these photos in a similar capacity. Light flooring and all white walls and countertops make for a very "zen" space that I can just imagine myself standing in whipping up a batch of hummus or pesto for weekly dinners. Who knows, I may find other kitchen remodel ideas on here that I like better, but for now this is my top choice.
