When I first spoke to my contractors, I told them that I wanted a simple gray and white bathroom that did not have any defining elements. What I mean by that, it I wanted the space to be super style-neutral so that I could swap out gray and white bathroom ideas as trends changed over the years without having to make a big commitment like a renovation or even a paint color change. This is the design that him and his team came up with, and I could not be happier with how it turned out. As you can see, it is a total blank canvas that could easily take on any style or decoration that you could imagine. I am going to have so much fun doing bathroom makeovers in here because I can bring in just about and color or pattern I could possibly want.

I think that if you are going to do a gray and white bathroom in this day of cookie cutter homes, you have to do something special or unique. Well this designer certainly knew how to do that. I love how they went so different than most of the gray and white bathroom tile you see on here -- even different than a typical marble. I have never seen a tub lined in a mosaic tile, but I am definitely here for it! I like the use of the marble in the rest of the bathroom as well, but something about that tub is just amazing. The one thing that I would do differently in here is the bathroom paint colors. Since everything is so monochromatic already, I think that there was an opportunity to put a bold color on the walls just for a bit of personality or vibrancy.
In my opinion, this simple gray and white bathroom is a contemporary decor lover's dream! And by that I mean that it is my dream! I love how everything is so simple and sleek, yet still an upgrade from your classic modern white bathroom that generally only has one color used throughout. Even though I am definitely a minimalist at heart, I really like the pattern and color play that the designer achieved in here. I'll be honest -- I am usually not a huge fan of gray bathroom ideas, or at least what I have seen of them so far on this site. But something about this tone of grey is just different to me. It almost has a blue sheen that I find to be ultra chic and just the right amount of feminine for my style.
I really like this unconventional take on a gray and white bathroom since much of what we see on here looks very similar to one another. I have see mosaics used quite frequently with white bathroom tiles, but never alongside a simple marble block like this. I think that doing this adds so much more dimension and balance to the overall bathroom, and I can't imagine doing it any differently. We are actually getting ready to do a bathroom remodel and this has totally changed the direction I am planning to go with tile. Originally, I had planned to do one of the average cookie cutter gray bathroom looks, but I think that I am going to mimic this home instead. As long as I can find the right material, that is.
I want to transform this beige and tan nightmare into a contemporary style gray and white bathroom like what you see in a lot of the photos on this website. When I first started planning out my dream design, I thought that I wanted to stick to all white bathroom ideas that would make it look monochromatic and lux (because I would also hang crystal sconces above the sink). However, as I thought about it more I realized that the room may be too small for that bold of a look and that the image I had in my head would likely not translate to real life. Given that fact, I am now planning to do a blue gray paint on the walls then marble herringbone tile in the shower and a simple marble block for the floor. In addition, I will install a white vanity with marble countertop and polished chrome fixtures. I'll definitely post some pics once I am done though!
