This is our new living room that I recently redecorated in this style. As you can see, there is a nice balance between upscale pieces and more casual touches. The inspiration for my home decor ideas was actually designs I saw in Southern Living Magazine, that I modified slightly to be more cohesive with our home's architecture and current color palette.

Luckily, I already have a pretty extensive art collection from my travels, so I will base the color palette from the hues featured in my favorite pieces.

My partner and I just finished up this master bath remodel for a client that requested a space that exudes "old world elegance." I think that the home interior design techniques we used would be inspiring for others who are trying to create a similar look, so we wanted to share some photos.
