I know that our home does not fall within many kitchen cabinet design 2020 trends, but I love it anyways. That's not to say that I wouldn't be open to giving the space a "face lift" in order to make it feel a little bit more updated. In fact, I have to admit that looking at so many kitchen cabinets pictures on here has me really inspired to make some small changes here and there. First and foremost, I think that the walls could use a coat of paint as ours is just dingy and worn down looking. The other (much larger) option is one that my husband and I have tossed around for a few years now but am not sure where we stand on it.
Okay party people -- I am ready to upgrade this room to something special by incorporating all of the kitchen cabinet design 2020 trends that you think we would benefit from. I have to admit that our cabinets are actually in pretty good shape. They are solid wood, custom designed for our kitchen, and fairly free of wear and tear. With that being said, the white washed finish of the kitchen cabinets, tan-themed granite countertops and metallic mosaic backsplash are admittedly very dated. I have certainly considered painting them and adding hardware but I have to admit that I am a little bit intimidated at the thought of having to weed through all of the kitchen cabinet ideas 2020 that I have seen on here to decide what may be best for our space.
So many people have told me to renovate this room because it does not fit well within most kitchen cabinet design 2020 trends, but I have to admit that I really like at least the foundational design of this space. The spacious and well-designed kitchen cabinet layout is so functional and really encourages the perfect flow of traffic (as well as cooking) throughout the space. Not to mention that all of the custom details on these units had to have cost a fortune since they are all solid wood and perfectly fitted to our space! With that being said, I am strongly considering refinishing this wood with one of the trendier kitchen cabinet colors 2020 like a dove grey or even an extremely soft French blue shade.
I find it very interesting that I am seeing so many plain acrylic fronts in popular kitchen cabinet design 2020. Perhaps I am just a square and not up on the latest home decor trends, but I have always thought of this style cabinet as one of the cheaper and less glamorous kitchen cabinet design options. Now people are touting this as high end design and something to covet rather than to just slap in there if you do not have the budget for something nicer. With the growing popularity of modern home design, I can start to see the draw, but it still is not my top choice. Don't get me wrong, I just adore just about any white kitchen ideas 2020 so I am not completely averse to this, but I would definitely choose a more traditional design if it were my home.
I absolutely love everything about the blue and white kitchen cabinet design 2020 trends that I have been seeing so much of on here. I am a big fan of using bold color in all of my rooms but still in a slightly understated way. The kitchen is no different. I have read so much about how the best kitchen cabinets are simple white designs and, to be honest, I tend to agree. However, if I am going to do an all white kitchen, there definitely has to be some other bold color in there to break up the monochrome space. This home did in in such a perfect way that I think I may have to copy them. I don't really know why I limited myself to looking at galleries of small kitchen ideas 2020 because these larger more luxurious homes always have the best and most inspiring interior decor.
Modern is definitely the theme of choice this year in kitchen cabinet design 2020. I can't tell you how many homes I have seen that have decidedly contemporary themes to them (something that I really have not seen in years). I think that kitchen design is an especially good venue for modern decor because these are rooms that should be as sleek and clean as possible anyways. I actually really like this home (even though it is not the most luxurious or high end of designs) because everything is in the same color scheme and feels very open and clean. I think that most of this is due to the kitchen paint ideas that they used, in that the cabinetry and wall colors are all very similar and create a really nice cohesive canvas for any other decor that they may want to incorporate.
