If I had to choose my favorite trends in kitchen paint colors 2019, I would definitely say that I love the combination of a muted grey and bold blue shade that we have been seeing a lot of lately. I like to extend unique color palettes from my walls and onto the cabinetry as well by painting them in coordinating shades. As you can see in a lot of the pictures of painted kitchen cabinets on here, choosing a bold contrasting shade for your island is very big this year. I love this trend because it allows you to play around with color more than usual since people rarely want something as bold as this shade of blue, for example, on their walls or all of their cabinetry. The island provides a great area to showcase unique kitchen colors without being overwhelming.
I know that sifting through the popular kitchen paint colors 2019 to find the right shade for our home should not be that tough -- after all, they are trending for a reason. But we are having the hardest time figuring out what Sherwin williams paint colors we want to choose to use on the walls, trim and ceiling in here. Our painter suggested Sherwin Williams because of their high quality products (very durable in homes with children he said) and color selection. I just need a brand that offers some type of historical collection, because I am trying to do our home in a traditional style that brings to mind old farmhouses from days gone by.
This mossy green color by sherwin Williams is definitely one of my favorite kitchen paint colors 2019. I will admit that I have struggled for months to find the perfect shade for this space because so many of the popular kitchen paint colors out at Lowe's are just too light for my preferences. I am all about a neutral color palette but, when I am working with white cabinetry, I like to have a bolder shade in order to create a nice contrast against the cabinets. I find that this technique actually further highlights any panelling or wood details that are on the units. If you love Sherwin williams colors as much as I do, I would definitely give this one a shot.
I have been really surprised that yellows have been popping up more and more in popular kitchen paint colors 2019. To me, it is a more challenging color to work with because so many of today's trending products have a much cooler undertone that simply does not work alongside warm kitchen paint ideas. However, I do love how this designer incorporated a soft butter yellow in alongside the wood cabinets and grayish granite countertops. It is not a look that I would have ever come up with nor would I think to combine these items -- they definitely all work in harmony though! Looking at rooms like this definitely makes me rethink popular kitchen colors and not automatically strike something off my list because the undertones do not match.
It's so interesting to me how trends actually fluctuate in kitchen paint colors 2019. Who would have know what something so basic as the color you put on your walls would actually change over the years. I guess this makes perfect sense since in the 1970s everybody thought that yellow and orange were the best kitchen paint colors, but now in 2019 we wouldn't touch those with a ten foot pole (thank goodness). It seems to me that grey are still very trendy these days and will probable remain so for many years to come. When it comes to kitchen colour schemes 10 of the best appear to be light grey, white, grayish blue, beige, tan, soft green, taupe, butter yellow, charcoal, and navy (in that order).
I feel like all I do lately is look at kitchen paint colors 2019 in the store to try to get some inspiration for what to do with this kitchen. We know that, if nothing else, we have to update the kitchen wall colors to something with more life to it, but we are also weighing our options for the cabinets as well. They are nice solid wood bases but I am not in love with the color, so we have been considering painting those as well to give the entire space a completely new look. I have really been battling back and forth about what type of kitchen ideas 2019 I want to base the decor around.
