I love looking at photos of a master bathroom remodel because I have been planning for years to undertake one in my own house. Before I get started on that overwhelming process, I would like to have a pretty firm idea in place on what I actually want. I will admit that I spend a ton of time online looking a master bathroom designs like this, trying to find inspiration for ours. In general, I am a big fan of pretty neutral color palettes like this, but with cool bold accents, like the wood trim on their bath tub, or neat detailing in floor or shower tile. I don't necessarily want our bathroom renovation ideas to be anything super major -- just something that updates the house nicely and is a calm and relaxing space to enjoy in the evenings (and mornings I suppose).
I am really proud of the work that we did on our master bathroom, because my family and I did all of the planning, installation and decorating ourselves. I really wanted to create some kind of luxury master bathroom but obviously on a fraction of the budget that most of those high end designs you see online work within. The natural money saving solution was to do the majority of the planning and work ourselves. Luckily this is not my first dabble into diy home remodeling, so I did know what to expect and some of the tips and tricks of the trade. The biggest thing to making this project a success was carefully planning out the master bathroom layout (down to every plug and plumbing feature) before purchasing any materials or starting any work, so that we could confirm that we had everything accounted for so as not to waste time or money with mistakes.
I am so proud of our finished master bathroom that I just have to share some new photos that we took for our designers portfolio with you all. For years now we have pondered over the right master bathroom remodel ideas to use in our very large, albeit outdate suite. At first we were trying our best to save money, but we ended up saying screw it and gutting the entire room to make way for a brand new modern style design. Although it seemed scary and costly at first, I think that it was ultimately cheaper to just start from scratch than to try to make existing pieces work. The centerpiece (and my favorite part of the room) is the all glass-enclosed master bathroom shower ideas that we used as the focal point of the entire design. It feels so luxurious any time I take a shower and get to look out at the awesome room surrounding me.
I am thrilled with the size of our master bathroom, but the overall outdated 1990s decor, tile and look of the space, not so much. I have always been enchanted by all white master bathrooms because they seem so chic and luxurious. I really want to transform our space into something that you see in all of those home decor magazines and television shows -- all white on everything paired with gorgeous marble tile. I am about to hire an interior design to tackle the project, but I would love to find out if any body on here has specific master bathroom ideas given that you can see the photos of everything we currently have. I am willing to spend the money to make this place look perfect but, of course, I would love to save money where I can.
This is such a cool master bathroom design -- it is so much more eclectic than anything I have seen on the design circuit and I live that about it. One of my favorite aspects of the master bathroom design ideas that they chose to incorporate, is the whimsical decor woven throughout. Sure, the overall color palette is quite standard, all of the general neutral shades you would expect. But it is done with mosaic tile on the walls, a unique almost crystal design on the shower walls, and then larger tiles with shade variation on the floors. This pattern play works so well as the backdrop to the cute master bathroom pictures hung on the wall in a collage over the tub. Absolute perfection in my book.
I definitely consider this master bathroom to be my be all and end all dream design. Every little detail of the space from the rich neutral tiles, gorgeous golden fixtures and vanity details, to the bright pop of color from the magenta flowers is absolutely perfect and exactly what I want to recreate in my master bathroom remodel. I have been saving for years to start this project, and the time has finally come to start making the plans and getting the contractors hired. Basically my plan is to show these photos to the interior designer and have her throw in some of her own small master bathroom ideas (the room is not very large) to finish off the plans. I will definitely report back with photos and reviews once the project is complete!
