I am a huge fan of lavish bedroom decoration that layers patterns, textiles and decorative pieces to create a very polished and luxurious finished look. When we were in the process of redecorating our bedroom, I asked our designer to incorporate a lot of classic designs alongside funky modern pieces for an unexpected twist of style. This is the design she came up with. I think it is a very appropriate style for our English Tudor home, but has so many fun trendy touches. She picked very lavish furniture and accent pieces, then kept the master bedroom wall decor fairly simple to let the other items be the star of the show. This was a great technique because it kept the space from looking cluttered or overdone despite the very ornate pieces that we chose. I wanted her to use master bedroom decorating ideas with a dusty French blue color palette alongside creamy white and gold accents. This proved to be the perfect choice for the gorgeous regency style that she brought to the space.

Be sure to carry the same great home decor ideas that you have used throughout the rest of your living areas into the bedroom. It is just as important to make this space beautiful as it is in the rest of the house. In fact, I like to amp up the style a bit more in my bedroom because it is my own personal hideaway when I need to get away from the rest of the world. There are many decorative elements in the bedroom, but my favorite is certainly bed decoration. I like creating an elegant and cozy bed so that the room looks inviting and relaxing. These are photos of my own personal bedroom that I recently finished updating. It is located on the first floor of the house next to the main living area, so I chose to use master bedroom decorating ideas that coordinated with the style of the rest of the downstairs. We are going with an elegant rustic look to blend well with the woodsy landscaping of our property. This means a lot of rich natural wood tons and an earthy color palette. I also brought in layers of rich textiles to give it a luxurious look.

How do you merge classic style with modern design while still creating a warm and inviting space through neutral master bedroom colors? You start with a warm eggshell paint, which keeps the space bright thanks to all the natural light from the large windows. Then you source bedroom decor ideas from the Colonial America era. We started with a classic four-poster bed for the central anchor piece but skipped the bed curtains to maintain a sleek effect. Finding inspiration for master bedroom decorating ideas doesnt have be difficult, just always remember to find an anchor piece and build out from there. Accents like a Queen Anne bedside table and a gleaming writing desk bring cohesion to an era-specific design while the overstuffed armchair by the fireplace offers a modern coziness for the room. Tie these pieces together with soft accents like a floral trimmed area rug and warm beige textiles.

I don't think that master bedroom decor could get any more elegant than in this stunning remodeled Victorian home. I love the combination of contemporary furniture and wall paper against the lovely traditional built ins and chandelier. The contrast in styles creates a very unique look, and one that most would think only a professional interior decorator could achieve. Believe it or not, my best friend (who owns the house) actually did the bedroom design all on her own. She was inspired by this taupe wallpaper we found when were were hunting around for a product to use in my living room. The color contrasted very nicely against her large grey upholstered bed with striking tufted headboard. The height of the bed really takes advantage of the tall ceilings and helps to draw the eye upward towards the lovely vintage chandelier we found at a local antique shop. The rest of her master bedroom decorating ideas came from glancing through home decor magazines like Architectural Digest and Southern Living.

We had been searching all over for bedroom furniture ideas for the beach house we just purchased in Georgia. The room's square footage is a bit on the small side so we wanted to make sure that we didn't overwhelm the space with furniture pieces that were too large. I think this metal canopy bed was the perfect choice because it provides style and structure with an airiness from the minimalistic design that keeps the room feeling light and open. Rather than following other master bedroom designs that layer colors and artwork to establish the style, we decided to let the gorgeous views remain the focal point. A simple color palette of green and beige was the perfect base to give a touch of style with out distracting from the ocean views. Furthermore, we layered neutral bedding in a couple of different textures to create the look of a luxurious well-made bed, but without distracting colors or patterns. I think that these master bedroom decorating ideas combined to make the perfect casual beauty atmosphere.

Creating the right bedroom interior design is so important because these spaces are meant to be your own personal oasis at the end of a long day. Having a room that you don't think is beautiful or calming will not allow you to relax and unwind at the end of the day as well as one that you absolutely love. I decided to makeover our master suite using room decor ideas that feature a very neutral color palette and a lot of heavy wood accents. This is the design we came up with at the end. I think that the space is quite open, yet the ornately carved bed makes a huge statement and brings about most of the style. Plush jacquard linens coordinated perfectly with the rich faux finish we painted on the walls, and are also incredibly soft and comfortable. Because the bed was so bold, we kept the rest of the master bedroom decorating ideas fairly simple, and only added small touches of artwork here and there, as well as a couple of potted plants for touches of greenery.
