I am so intrigued by modern fireplace ideas that have a gas heating element that will simply turn on and off with the flick of a switch. I am probably an old geezer, but I have never used anything other than a wood burning fireplace before. I would love to incorporate one of these gas stone fireplace ideas like they show in the photos of this large living room. Something about a fireplace can make even the edgiest room seem quite cozy and inviting. Although I want a home that is impeccably decorated, I still want people to feel like they can relax and not worry about touching the artwork or furniture. The only thing that I am not sure about is what kind of fireplace mantel ideas you would pair with a piece like this.
When it comes to modern fireplace ideas, I am all for the unique and kookie because my design tastes definitely lean towards the eclectic or modern side. This architect certainly did not disappoint in this area, he delivered an awesome pyramid-style modern fireplace that actually looks perfect in the corner of the large living room. Come to think of it, I don't think that I have ever really seen a corner fireplace design before. It certainly makes sense to plan one out that way because it gives you a lot more allspice to work with, especially in this day and age of absolutely monstrous televisions. Fireplace ideas definitely elevate the look of the space if you choose the right materials and the right design -- he get's an A+ for both categories here.
This is definitely one of my favorite modern fireplace ideas that I have come across because it is not too severe -- it still has that cozy welcoming vibe that you really want in a family room. We are looking for fireplace wall ideas for our cabin, but everything that we have come across so far is either ultra rustic (think giant stacked stone hearths) or very very sleek and modern to the point that they aren't really appropriate for a cabin. This designer, however, hit the ball out of the park with their design. I love how the almost wood-look tile contrasts against the warm white walls and built in shelf material that flanks either side of it. The modern furniture achieves the same balance as the fireplace in that it has a definite modern edgy but is still cozy feeling.
I can't decide if modern fireplace ideas like this would be fantastic for our contemporary style house, or if it would be too bold and harsh in a family room that we want to feel warm and inviting. Of course your typical traditional brick fireplace designs simply would not look right amidst the sleek all white and bronze accented design of our modern style decor. I just worry that installing one of these huge cement statement pieces that you typically see when you search for contemporary fireplaces would put off the wrong vibe. It seems too stark and bachelor pad-like rather than family oriented. Does anybody on here have advice for how to incorporate a cozy looking fireplace amidst modern interior design?
So many modern fireplace ideas that I have seen are so cold and stark looking, but this one is so nice because it has the feel of a large stone hearth that you may find in a luxury log cabin, while still featuring cool contemporary touches that brings it into 2022 trends. I never realized how critical choosing the right fireplace design ideas could be until we began trying to figure out what to do in our own home. Through remodeling this house, we have realized that so many things are simply off your radar until you are faced with the decision yourself. We opted for an overall modern house design, so there are several architectural elements in our previously traditional style home that we have to modify to fit within those guidelines. I think that this home provides a fantastic guide to what we should do to transform our currently traditional fireplace into something bold and modern.
I am rarely impressed with contemporary design, let alone wowed by something as abstract as modern fireplace ideas, but there is something about this particular photo that really draws me in. Admittedly, I am pretty hard to please when it comes to home decor as I am interior designer myself. In general, most fireplace tile ideas that I have seen, I consider to look very outdated and stale. However, I love the way that they combined your classic marble tiles with sleek dark slate as the centerpiece to the large unit. It is that cool mix of good vs evil, femininity vs masculinity all twisted into these modern fireplace designs that really draws me in. Absolutely stunning, my hats go off to this designer.
