What do you all think of these painting kitchen cabinets ideas done in all charcoal grey. I can't decide if the overall look is too much (as in dreary and overbearing) or if the dark gray kitchen cabinets with matching walls is actually a very chic look. In this house with the frank loyd wright style architecture, I think that the dark colors actually works really well, but I am not sure how that would translate into your average home. My partner loves this look because it is so edgy and masculine, but I worry that it is not welcoming enough for a family gathering space. I am totally down with the gray kitchen walls, I think that it is just the richness of the dark cabinetry that has me questioning the design.
I have been itching to put the collection of painting kitchen cabinets ideas I have to use in our new home that we just purchased. For years now, I have been dreaming about the possibility of painting kitchen cabinets white forever now, and I finally have a space that it would work really well in. We actually already have gorgeous wide plank flooring like they have in my inspiration photo, now the only major thing I need to do is paint our cabinetry this same creamy shade of white. I have been trying to figure out exactly what this color is because I know that not all white paint is created equally. I am going to start off by looking at those kitchen paint colors 2022 idea guides at Lowe's and see if anything jumps out at me, but if anybody has shade recommendations that they have used please let me know.
My husband has been begging me to go over some painting kitchen cabinets ideas with him because he is just itching to do something to remodel our home. I am nervous to spend a lot of money after just buying this place (our first home together) so swapping out kitchen cabinet colors ourselves seems like a pretty good concession that will make him feel like he's accomplishing something but without straining the budget. I do really love the white and grey design that this decorator used here. It is simple yet classic and does not really overwhelm you one way or the other. I would want to pick different kitchen paint colors with white cabinets just to make them standout a bit more, but other than that I would love for him to recreate everything in these photos.
I would love some advice for how to take the painting kitchen cabinets ideas in these beautiful photos and make it into a reality in our house. In general, I definitely understand the concept of how to pick kitchen colors and find the right undertone for our countertops etc, but I'm really not sure the best process to actually apply the paint so that it looks like it was professionally done. I don't want our kitchen to look crappy, like we just slapped some paint on there and called it a day. If I am going to spend the time and money searching for the right kitchen cabinet paint colors to imitate this house, I want it to look good. Do I clean then sand the units, or strip them with a liquid, or something completely different?
If you've ever wondered about the best paint for kitchen cabinets, I'd like you to take a look at my newly redesigned kitchen. We did most of the work ourselves and tried to work with our existing white breakfast bar. You'll note our kitchen already has a streamlined appearance with the casual seating, tan storage closet, and modern stove vent. We didn't want to take away from that by choosing cabinet paint colors that would upset the balance of the room. This is why we chose soft grays and whites, a classic color combination that is easy to match with nearly anything. The textured, speckled backsplash behind the kitchen draws from both colors to create a harmonious palette. Painting kitchen cabinets ideas can be found online, in magazines, at your local builder's office, and even in the library. On our south-facing wall, you'll note light-colored wood cabinets that we stained ourselves. These, along with the open shelving cabinets, add a rustic, homey touch. Our dining area is casual and contemporary, focusing on light tan painted woods, a wooden table, and brown and stainless steel seating. One room blends into the next, and while they look different, they don't compete with each other.
I have been loving searching around for painting kitchen cabinets ideas while we look for new houses, because it helps me see the potential for a lot of the outdated homes in our price range. In my opinion, so many other buyers have a hard time seeing past the ugly kitchen paint colors or outdated cabinets and countertops to realize the true potential for a space. That is there loss and my gain though, because we can save money on a house and then make it into our own later. The kitchen design ideas in these photos are exactly what I want to recreate in our future home, from the all white cabinetry to the black granite countertops and even cool contemporary light fixtures to balance it all out.
