I know that the average person will probably say that these walk in shower tile ideas are too modern for their taste but I love the abstract art vibe that they bring to a very unexpected place (the bathroom). In a sea of marble herringbone and white subway bathroom tile ideas 2022, I truly enjoy a little bit of variety so that the home does not look like a cookie cutter version of everybody else's. I believe that your house should reflect your personality, and my personality is definitely unique. If I were planning out large walk in shower designs for our home, I would definitely imitate these photos (maybe identically). The only thing that I may change is too add more shower heads because I love to be hit from all angles with water if I can be.
I am curious as to what the average person (homeowners or professional designers) think about the walk in shower tile ideas in our master bath. We did not pick this design, rather it came with the house when we bought it. There are some elements that I really love like the huge walk in shower, the matte black fixtures, and the frameless glass door. However, other items like the warm-toned beige tile and dark slate accents really do not go with my personal style. I know enough about interior design to know that shower remodel ideas (especially of this size) are quite costly. That is why I am trying to figure out if it is even worth remodeling to get it to be "perfect" or if there are other decor techniques that I could use to make the space feel lighter and brighter than it does right now.
Some people may disagree, but I absolutely love the walk in shower tile ideas that they used in this bathroom! Something about a nice rich beige color palette is so relaxing and organic to me. I tend to shy away from all white designs -- both in my bedrooms and main living spaces as well as in large or small bathroom designs with shower. I feel that such a stark and monochromatic color palette like that can make a home feel a little too "institutional" for my taste, and certainly lacks in the personality that I like to infuse my living spaces with. This designer created the perfect level of neutral, that is both understated and a bit colorful at the same time. I will actually probably use this as a template for our walk in shower remodel that we are in the process of planning and scheduling for our master bath.
I know that these walk in shower tile ideas probably cost a fortune, but I just can't get past that mustardy yellow color of the tile. When we first looked at the house as a potential buy, I did not really hone in on the master bathroom much because we loved everything else. But the more time we have spent in here now that we actually moved in, the more that I am realizing that I need to upgrade these bathroom shower tile ideas ASAP. I would hate to replace absolutely everything in the space, so I think that I would focus on finding a more neutral tile and then keep the vanities and tub. A white subway tile would actually probably go really nicely in here against all of the dark. Despite the color palette, I will say that I can really appreciate that they at least went with one of those trendy walk in showers without doors so, overall, I think that we have a lot to work with in here.
As you can probably tell from these photos of our current bathroom, we are in dire need of some modern walk in shower tile ideas to update this gaudy monstrosity of a tile job. I know that this had to have cost a fortune when it was installed, but these shower tile designs are just bringing down our entire space (the entire master suite I believe) because they do not go with the chic and contemporary vibe of the rest of the home. We have done all white walls, matte black fixtures, and rustic wide plank floors as the foundation for the rest of our spaces. I am thinking that a classic subway tile would accent the rest of our spaces perfectly, but I am open to other bathroom shower ideas as well. Any designers on here have some pointers or a direction you think we could take?
When we remodeled our master, I knew that I wanted to use walk in shower tile ideas that are very different than most of what you see online and in magazines these days. I am a big fan of white monochromatic designs but, at the same time, I did not want our home to be a carbon copy of every other bloggers walk in shower ideas -- I prefer to stand out from the crowd a bit (in every facet of life). For this reason, I kept with the neutral palette, but I opted for a mixture of traditional subway tile and a beautiful (and subtle) sage green honey comb accent piece. Rather than doing just one accent boarded, I did three to create a striped look going around the perimeter of the shower. I feel like this makes the unit seem larger and wider than it actually is. Plus, although it embodies some of the trendier shower tile ideas 2022, it is unique to me and my home and (hopefully) is not going to be found in every other home on our block.
