As part of our landscape design 2022 goals, we are planning to install an inground pool on our property. We definitely don't want anything that is overly simple or boring because, especially if this is going to be an expensive investment, it has to pack a big design punch in our backyard landscaping. The home pictured here has basically our ideal layout and pool design. I really like curved free flowing shapes as opposed to a geometric rectangular look. In addition, I really gravitate towards pool landscaping ideas 2022 that have retaining walls with a lot of foliage behind the pool to act as a sort of backdrop to the design. I think that this gives it a really high end and professionally finished look.
I am seeing a lot of fire pits used in trending landscape design 2022 and I can't say that I am surprised because homeowners seem to want function plus beauty in their homes now (as opposed to just style as it used to be). Landscape design can be a tricky place to implement this concept because it is hard to make your yard "functional." The best way that I can describe to do this is to make fantastic outdoor living areas that encourage you to spend time out of the house. Gas or wood fire pits like this are definitely a fantastic way to do this if you don't want to spend a ton of time laying or building out your patio areas. I would not be surprised if we begin seeing far more of them in landscaping ideas 2022 and for years to come.
If I have learned one thing about landscape design 2022 after looking through dozens of photo galleries on here, it is that subtlety is key in this years trending design. Whereas in years past we have really gone over the top with yard design and planted "all the things," this year we are going to be more simplistic and focus on hardscaping elements like our covered patio. I love the way they set up the patio in these photos because it looks like another room in their home, just outdoors. The furniture looks like "real" furniture rather than cheap patio sofas, and the simple navy and beige color palette accents the greenery of the property so nicely. The only thing that I would change is to add some more formal landscape edging like boxwood hedges or even some holly bushes for year-round color.
If this is not the best tropical inspired landscape design 2022 that I have seen on here, then I absolutely do not know what is! I was actually browsing around this website in search of backyard landscape design inspiration, but this front yard is just everything. I love the lush manicured lawn, tall palm trees, and relatively simple mulched beds. All of these elements combined together creates a very dense yet elegant look, but is not overwhelming with too many contrasting colors or plans. I would actually take this front yard landscape design and attempt to mimic it in our backyard for a simple yet tropical look. We live in the south so I think that I could probably grow palm trees this tall and dense with some TLC.
I am really enjoying looking through the minimalist styled landscape design 2022 trends on here. In the past people seemed to really enjoy the overdone backyard areas with a lot of flowers, bushes, greenery, and even furniture and textiles like umbrellas and rugs on backyard patio designs. All of that can certainly be nice to look at but it can also be overwhelming and distract from the subtle beauty of nature. This house has a really nice balance between great style and also a nod to the gorgeous surroundings on their property. If I had to pick one item that I liked the most in these landscape design pictures, I would probably go with the turquoise pots flanking the fire pit because it is the perfect amount of color to accent the greenery surrounding them.
As we begin planning out our landscape design 2022 projects, my husband and I have decided that we really want to go "big" this year and install an awesome in ground pool. Backyard pool designs have been on our radar for years now, and we find ourselves continuing to look at large rectangular designs with great patio surrounds and really cool lighting accents (basically exactly what the property in this photo has). Now I know that this type of look is not for everybody, but we really like the edginess of it because it looks like one of those LA mansions that you see on television shows. I would even like to add in one of those checkerboard patios (like they have here) that has the well-manicured grass sticking up between the slabs. Basically we want to incorporate all of the high end pool ideas 2022 into one yard within the next couple of months haha.
