Implementing the right room decor ideas can take an ordinary space to the next level. This is exactly what we did with this client's living room decor to create a cool modern space age look. The main element that we changed was the stone veneer focal wall along the back of the room. Because we used stone veneer panels this was a quick and inexpensive project that makes an absolutely huge decor impact. With this wall as the base of our design, we incorporated other house decorating ideas in the same edgy grey palette that would further elevate the style. Monochromatic couches with a coordinating area rug made the sleek space seem a bit more cozy and welcoming while the cool charcoal fan cemented the contemporary style.
Picking out room decor ideas for a master bedroom can be a bit daunting because you know that you will spend a ton of time in there so you want it to be perfect. When I am looking for master bedroom ideas for a client, I always start with the bed. It is after all the focal point of the entire room, so I want to make sure that it brings in the boldest design. This particular room was a fun one because we found this awesome four poster canopy bed that brings a very medival vibe to the space, especially paired with the stone fireplace. We decided to run with this theme and incorporate bedroom decor ideas that had an old world vibe like the gorgeous bronze chandelier and beautiful tapestry rug.
A lot of people enjoy very simplistic and minimalistic room decor ideas, but I am just not one of them. I love my home decor ideas to have a lot of pattern, color, and style in order to make the space feel filled to the brim and complete. I particularly enjoy this living area that I saw when browsing for decor inspiration online. The thing that drew me to this particular look, but how the living room design ideas filled the large space without overwhelming it. I really enjoy the mixture of browns and turquoises as the basis of the design, and especially love how it is all anchored around the fireplace. Between the bookshelves covered in colorful glass pieces, and the large peacock print, I think they these items tie then entire space together without being "too much."
I will admit that I am stuck trying to find room decor ideas to update this space. As you can see, our living room design is a bit outdated and frumpy. The room has great "bones" with the loft ceiling, large layout, and great architectural detailing like beautiful trim, nice wood floors and an elegant chandelier. However, the furniture and decor could certainly use a facelift. I tend to prefer living room decor ideas that teeter on the edge between modern and traditional. I enjoy pieces that bring a classic elegance to the space without being stuffy just as much as I love the simplistic approach to modern decor. I would appreciate any ideas for where I should begin this design, probably starting with the color palette.
The gorgeous bedroom is full of room decor ideas to inspire all of your contemporary style dreams. I think that they did a fantastic job on this bedroom design because it manages to look modern and formal while still being approachable and relaxing. In my opinion, the key to the design is the elegant and monochromatic color palette of beiges and mauves. These shades can lean modern or traditional and, either way, blend together to create a very chic foundation to the design. I also love the wall decor ideas they used to make a bold statement in the room. Between the large upholstered wall and gorgeous taffeta drapes, there is a lot of design going on. Due to the large space though it actually works very well without over powering the decor.
I am always on the lookout for new and exciting room decor ideas that can be used to breath new life into a boring old space. Home office decor can be especially uneventful, so I love taking on a project that helps to make these forgotten spaces more fun and lively. This particular home was a fun project because the homeowner wanted to do something quite bold. They loved deep dark grey and modern accents, so we took these two specifications and ran with it. I decided to use room design ideas that all focused around this cool area rug that we picked up at a local design boutique. We pulled shades of grey from the pattern and picked a desk and matching sideboard in those tones.
