One of my favorite trends for 2019 is pairing rustic home decor with very contemporary architecture. I am always looking for new and exciting ways to jazz up a space. I love timeless elegance but I also enjoy edgy home decor ideas as well. This dining room (as well as the rest of the house) has the perfect mixture of both styles in my opinion. The furniture and artwork is quite modern, but that styling is only magnified when placing it in a room with gorgeous vaulted ceilings complete with rich mahogany beams and pine panelling. I would never think to use mix rustic decor ideas alongside a mustard yellow and grey palette paired with all that wood, but it works surprisingly well together.

To be honest, I can't decide if I love or hate what they have done with their rustic cabin decor but, regardless, they picked a theme and stuck to it. Obviously the huge stone hearth is the focal point of the space (and rightfully so). The craftsmanship is impeccable and, truthfully, you do not need anything else but that to wow your guests. I do really love the rustic furniture ideas that they paired with it because the simplicity of the leather couches covered in brightly woven pillows and throws does not distract from the fireplace. Rather, it enhances the design and creates a warm and inviting space for friends and family to gather.
