These country kitchen cabinets are super cool because they have a bit of a contemporary vibe to them unlike most that I have seen in the past. The majority of rustic kitchen ideas you see online or in magazines feature big hearty cabinetry with traditional style panelling and quaint detail work. These are really cool because the are a more modern shaker style that is so popular these days, but the gorgeous wood beams and chic country decor makes the space fit in the theme. I think that you could definitely achieve this look with cheap kitchen cabinets because they are a very basic design -- something that any home improvement warehouse carries. Accent inexpensive cabinets with higher end fixtures and countertops and nobody will be the wiser.
These country kitchen cabinets are the perfect combination of farmhouse charm and stunning high end elegance. Ever since I can remember, I have wanted to live in a home with a French country kitchen. It has definitely been a dream of mine for years to be able to come home to a gorgeous and warm space just like this to be able to cook a wonderful meal. My favorite part about the space is the detailing on the cabinets. The open glass display units, the intricate carved detailing and the arched shelves about the refrigerator are are special custom pieces that definitely had to be custom ordered. Not only this, but the country kitchen cabinets colors are the perfect subtle neutral grey that makes the space a bit more interesting than your classic white.
These country kitchen cabinets have such a lovely charm to them from the quaint bead board panelling to the delicate detailing and brightly painted center island. I love country kitchen designs like this that do not go too far into the rustic category, but instead merely create a wonderful and warm place to spend time with friends and family. Even though the design is quite bold in color palettes, the overall combination is actually subtle enough not to overwhelm you when you walk in. I think that it is the French country kitchen cabinets that help to achieve this, because they bring more traditional elegance than you would typically expect from a space like this. Plus, the distressing on the bright blue island dampens the overall vibrancy and makes it look more subtle than you would expect.
If I had to pick a single home decor style that I had to keep for the rest of my life, I would definitely pick a traditional look with country kitchen cabinets like this. Kitchens are by far my favorite places in a home because, in addition to loving to cook, they tend to be the center of all family gatherings and I love the warmth and memories that come with that. Country kitchen ideas more than anything, exude this warmth and happiness because they remind me of my childhood years spent cooking and baking with my grandmother -- oh the fun memories we made together over the years! The country style kitchen cabinets that they used in here are a great example of what I consider to be the perfect traditional design. There is just enough paneling and carved detailing to make it a bit more luxurious feeling, but it is still rustic and casual.
I think that brightly colored country kitchen cabinets are a great way to add some pizazz and design to a home without going overboard with a particularly polarizing style. Most people think that the best kitchen cabinets are ones that provide a simple and neutral backdrop to any design that you could want to bring in. While I definitely agree that this is the case, I don't think that there is anything wrong with adding a bit of color like we did here with the brightly colored distressed aqua island. With the rest of the units painted white, I think that the space is still neutral enough to not scare people away. Plus, if we decided to sell we could always look into painting kitchen cabinets ideas that either incorporate that blue or just change the island back to white.
This home is exactly what I picture when I think of traditional country kitchen cabinets. I love the gorgeous detailing on the moulding around the ceiling, and the bead board accents behind all of the open shelves. Little details like these make your typical antique white kitchen cabinets something special and make the home feel very custom and high end. The one thing that they did that I probably would have skipped is the lightly stained island. Contrasting islands are definitely one of the most popular kitchen remodel ideas these days (and I am not opposed to it at all), but I would have done a darker wood or a more vibrant paint. I think that the finish they chose is a too lackluster and does not elevate the design as much as it could have in another shade.
