Bedroom Ideas
This is such an elegant and tastefully done traditional kitchen design, one that I would certainly love to replicate in our house. Although I am a huge fan of classic designs, traditional white kitchens really are not at the top of my list as far as what I would want in my own home. I much prefer a slightly more unique color palette like this glazed grey finish and even the lovely warm stain on the island.

When I renovate our house, I would probably mimic this same layout but do all grey cabinetry with perhaps a navy blue accent color on the island. The only thing that I am not in love with is the backsplash that they chose. I do enjoy all of the marble kitchen backsplash ideas with white cabinets that you see everywhere these days.

I am really proud of how we managed to transform our traditional kitchen into a much more contemporary space by doing a few budget-friendly cosmetic updates. We knew that we did not want to spend the money to replace the kitchen cabinets, or even to paint them to be honest. In order to get around that and still give it the modern look that we wanted, we decided to go ahead and rip out the backsplash and countertops and replace them with this awesome edgy black granite. It is definitely a different look than the Formica that was here before, but I think that it totally works. After going through this process I think that whether you are trying to do a modern or a traditional kitchen remodel on a budget, I think that the key to achieving the look you want is definitely researching and outlining your budget before you even start.

This is such a pretty little traditional kitchen, I so wish that we had something that looks like this in our house. I hate to say it, but the people who owned our house before us had some pretty atrocious kitchen design ideas so I think that we are going to have to gut the entire thing and start fresh. I would say that our kitchen is probably considered midsize, maybe around the square footage of the one in these photos. If possible I would love to sort of recreate the look that they have in here but maybe incorporate some of the trendier features of traditional kitchens 2022 like marble countertops and water faucets over the stove. I also think we would do a crisp white cabinet color and navy blue island.

Who doesn't love a traditional kitchen with a modern twist like this lovely white washed wood and granite design. If you ask me, pretty much all of the kitchen remodel ideas that I have seen on here lately are so basic and cookie cutter in design -- everybody seems to be doing the same thing in just about every home. I truly respect designers that think outside of the box and aren't afraid to do something a little bit different and unexpected. In my opinion, this kitchen definitely falls under that category both in terms of materials they used and color palette. Most cabinets that you see are white or dark wood (or maybe a color) and the average design tends to have that modern meets tradition motif (not sure how else to describe it). This has the bones of a small traditional kitchen but with a very refreshing color palette.

This traditional kitchen is utterly divine and I would consider handing over my first born if I could wake up and walk downstairs to see this in my house (just kidding). Really though, I have seen some beautiful kitchens over the years but this is certainly at the top of the list. Our main living area is definitely not large enough to handle a layout of this size, but I think that I could actually mimic a few features of the design to try to get a similar look. First of all, I would definitely do this dove grey color that has been all over the traditional kitchen pictures that I have seen in Traditional Home and Southern living lately. Our floors are already this color, so I think that adding a crystal chandelier and marble countertops (or a similar looking material) would definitely finish off the design and give us a very similar overall look.

My clients have been asking over and over for a contemporary meets traditional kitchen this year -- so much so that I definitely see this becoming a huge trend for 2022 and beyond. From my experience, traditional kitchen design has long been the favorite of homeowners and a ton of people in the industry, but lately people have started gravitating to sleeker and less fussy looks. I actually think that if I had to pick a single style to put in every single kitchen that I do, I would go with one like the house in these photos because I think that is the perfect thing for resale. One of these somewhat style neutral designs would appeal to just about any potential buyer because it could lean traditional or modern depending on the accent colors and decor that you bring in. So for anybody planning out kitchen makeovers, I definitely think that a design like this would bring you the most return on your investment.
