Confession time -- I used to be utterly horrible at picking out kitchen lighting ideas, so much so that I have had to return countless fixtures after my husband hung them up because they look so out of place. I think that I finally overcame my battle with this renovation project thanks to the help of the internet (I appreciate you google). Before running off to the store to pick out the first thing I saw on the shelves, I searched around for photos of kitchen island pendant lighting ideas that really called out to me. I actually purchased these lights based on a photo that I saw in an online gallery of traditional style kitchens that looked very much like what we were installing at our house. When in doubt, I would definitely encourage you to take a look at kitchen ideas 2022 and get some inspiration before you plunge into the purchasing process. Your wallet will thank you later!
It is funny how searching for something as simple as kitchen lighting ideas can put you in a mind space to completely guy your home and start over with one of these gorgeous designs. That is exactly what just happened to me! I came on here just trying to find some inspiration for new pendant style kitchen island lighting to replace the old ones hung over our island. We have dark espresso cabinetry like this, but that is just about where the similarities end (for now bwahah). These photos make me want to change so much about our space and incorporate some bold modern kitchen ideas like the plain white floors, awesome mosaic tile wall (as opposed to the short backsplash we already have), even install a skylight in the center of the room (unfortunately that won't happen).
I love the kitchen lighting ideas that they used in this outstanding rustic meets modern home. We are on a hunt for some really unique and trendy island lighting ideas for our renovation and, more specifically, really want some type of fixtures that will make a pretty bold design statement. I know that the hanging pendant lights in these photos are pretty small, but I think that they pack a big design punch -- not to mention that gorgeous coordinating chandelier in the adjacent dining room! If anybody knows where I can get a similar fixture (or maybe even the same one), please let me know. Our kitchen design is going to be quite similar to this, with the wood cabinets and light grey countertops. Only major difference is that the ceilings are definitely not as high in our house.
Bold kitchen lighting ideas are definitely new to me -- I never even realized that you could add LED features to accent your under cabinet areas and island base, let alone considered actually putting it in my house. I am glad that I found these photos, because I am loving this concept and definitely want to try to incorporate some modern kitchen lighting ideas like this into our renovation project. Admittedly, I don't know that bright purple would be the shade I would choose for our home (I don't think that my husband would be too keen on that), but I really like the concept of bringing more color into the design via unconventional touches like this. I would probably opt for a blue shade for our kitchen lighting, but install them in the same places as they did in these photos.
You never realize how hard it is to pick out kitchen lighting ideas until you have to do it yourself (as I am sure is the case with a lot of home design projects). After finishing up most of our remodel, I have now been tasked with the job of picking out kitchen pendant lighting ideas for above our island and over the sink. There are just so many dang lights to choose from that I don't even know where to start! Of course I set out to the internet to see what other people were doing and I found this beautiful white and gray kitchen. Although it isn't identical to what our design is, it is definitely pretty dang close. The grey and marble kitchen island ideas are pretty in line with what we have done so I figured that some cool nickel pendant lights like they have might be the perfect pieces for our home as well. I also liked how they used the same style but just a bit smaller over the sink to keep it cohesive looking.
One of the biggest trends for 2022 that I am seeing is blurring the line between dining room and kitchen lighting ideas. For those of you that may not understand what I am talking about, haven't you been seeing a lot of gorgeous crystal chandeliers hanging in beautiful kitchens lately. These photos show my favorite home that I have seen thus far (I am always a sucker for contemporary design), but there are so many applications for this trend. I have seen small chandeliers replace your typical kitchen island lighting ideas (pictured here) such as pendant lights or I have seen a giant fixture centering the space. The trend is so versatile, you just need to think outside of the box to figure out what would be the best look for your existing (or future) home decor).
