Modern cabinets can be such a game changer when it comes to instilling a contemporary vibe throughout your home. Not many homeowners are brave enough to fully commit to awesome trends in modern kitchen design 2019, so it is always fun for me to check out these galleries to see what other's clients have done. I really love the sleek polished finish of these dark wood cabinets because the lustrous shine actually tones down the bold coloring (plus I bet that they are also super easy to clean). If you are going to go with a darker finish like this, I would definitely follow the rules that they did in these kitchen cabinets pictures and bring in a done of light neutral shades on everything else including wall paint, countertops and flooring.
It is so hard to find modern cabinets that actually look good in your average home. So many need that backdrop of those ultra contemporary mansions where everything from the architecture of the windows and doors to the flooring and ceiling is designed in a modern style. We were a bit baffled as to what to do with the odd circular kitchen cabinet layout in this home. I didn't think that we could really do a traditional style design because it was not angular enough for the pieces you would normally put in there. These sleek white cabinets seemed like the perfect option for the layout because the lack of panelling and shiny surface actually works really well with the round design.
This is such a fantastic take on modern cabinets because it is not to intense and could even be modified slightly for those that prefer a more traditional design. This is such a perfect kitchen design for the homeowner that loves contemporary styles but is too afraid to go full throttle in case they need to sell there home in a few years )sometimes modern decor can turn off potential buyers). You could certainly bring just about any style that you want into this backdrop and have an elegant and high end look. I personally love a modern kitchen so I would be all for this space -- but you could swap out the countertops and barstools, add some elegant pendant light fixtures and a traditional accent color like navy, and you would have a completely different look.
I haven't seen many modern cabinets that I like the style of, but these are different. Most that I have seen are simply too harsh for my taste, but these are a softer kitchen cabinet design that still screams modern decor. I love the shiny shellacked finish of the wood because it is much more sleek than your typical painted wood finish. They definitely set the tone for the rest of the contemporary decor throughout the home, but still provides a nice neutral foundation to the kitchen that would pair well with just about any accent color. In my opinion, white designs are definitely the best kitchen cabinets because they are a classic neutral that will go with just about anything and remain trendy and current for decades.
I have been researching modern cabinets for a few weeks now because I decided that I wanted to do an all white contemporary style kitchen in our new loft. We have always lived in pretty traditional homes, so it has been so fun for me to play around with different edgier styles in our new place. I definitely want to utilize modern kitchen cabinet design like in this photo because I think it would be fairly inexpensive to find these at someplace like IKEA, plus it would totally go with the vibe of our loft. The place is not huge, so I think that one wall of cabinetry and a longer island in front like in the photo would be the perfect layout. If possible, I would like to mimic everything about these kitchen cabinet ideas, even down to the simple white countertop and marble backsplash.
I love seeing how other designers skate the line between traditional and contemporary in kitchens. This juxtaposition of modern cabinets with more classic french detailing is the perfect example of what I am talking about. The range and coordinating hood screams French Country (I mean how stunning is it!), but rather than installing rustic kitchen cabinets beside it, they went with the cleaner lines of a more shaker style. Ordinarily you would probably expect them to be done in white, but the designer continued on the creative vein and chose a smokey grey wood finish instead -- pure brilliance! I love how it has all of the edginess of a modern kitchen design, but with the quaint warmth of more traditional touches.
