I have to admit that I was a little bit discourage when we moved into this house because, for years, I had visions of a giant master bathroom designs to enjoy at all times of the day. I couldn't believe how much they were able to fit into this small space -- at least based on the bathroom pictures that they posted on here. Sure the square footage is pretty limited, but they still have a jacuzzi tub, fairly sizable walk in shower, large vanity with storage, and more. Plus, it does not even look that crowded! I know that this was in gallery for tiled showers pictures as an inspiration of how to lay tile in unexpected ways, but the thing that stands out to me the most in the space is actually the wall decor. I love the pieces that they used to accent the tub because they are bold yet understated enough that it does not appear to overwhelm the small wall space.

I thought that this shower was one of the most unique that I saw in the gallery of pictures of small bathrooms that I was browsing through in order to figure out a solution for our very miniature guest bath. I have been seeing a lot of small bathroom ideas that are converting tubs to walk-in showers, but I feel like that will not work in our home because we have small children (and lots of visiting nieces and nephews). I love the idea of a walk-in shower but it just is not practical for our family. Regardless, I still wanted the sleek look of one of those glass encased showers. This photo really looks like a walk-in but then you still have the tub at the bottom. I think it is the perfect option for our bathroom remodel because we can have it all.

Pictures of small bathrooms don't get much cooler than this artsy retro space that I believe is in a condo in Las Angeles (seems like that California vibe to me). I found it when I was looking for powder room ideas for our town home that were small enough in scale that they work for our space. I have a similar eclectic style, so I think that this could be the perfect inspo for our home. I want to keep everything in a similar neutral grey palette so that the space feels as open as possible, but I do want to bring in some pops of color and design to keep things feeling a little bit more edgy than the average person probably would. Most of the bathroom remodel pictures that I have seen are a little too simplistic, and I think that the homeowner/designer missed an opportunity to really make a home shine with artwork.

This is by far my favorite photo that I found while looking around for pictures of small bathrooms to serve as a starting point for our own powder room design. You would not believe how challenging it can be to do even a small bathroom remodel because you have to make so many decisions on material, and then figure out how it will all fit in a relatively limited square footage space. I have learned that the key is keeping the overall design pretty simple, and then bringing in pops of higher end design in through fixtures or, in this case, a gorgeous mirror. I think that the countertop and bathroom tile ideas that they used are the perfect accent to the contemporary meets traditional look that they have going on, and those are accented wonderfully with simple bronze fixtures and other metal pieces.
