If I had to pinpoint one thing that all beautiful living rooms have in common it is a bright pop of color. I know I know, a lot of people are going to say that neutral and monochromatic living room colors are super in right now, but I challenge you to take a look at any of those designs you are referring to. I would bet that somewhere is there this is an accent color that stands out from the rest to give the design some visual interest. This could be a lovely bright blue like in this home or it could be something more unconventional like shiny polished chrome accents or seagrass used in rugs. It is these small touches that really make the rest of the living room design ideas you choose come alive.
I have notice that the single element that just about all of the beautiful living rooms on here have in common is a gas fireplace. It seems to me that this is a sign that we should all be adding something like this to our living room decor, if for no other reason than to generate some of the same chic contemporary style that all of these glamorous homes have. I might add in the Elvis portrait too if I am being completely honest haha. We have your typical white and grey themed living room with nothing super special about it. I am pretty sure that we could add in some of these modern living room ideas that I bet would totally transform the room.
Beautiful living rooms like this really inspire me to just start over with my whole home decor and create something new and fantastic like this. Our living room interior design is not bad by any means it just doesn't have the life and pizazz that this one does. This one looks utterly chic and glamorous and has all of the perfect designer touches that you see in the magazines. I love how the beige tones everywhere blend together yet contrast in a really delightful way. I don't know that I could every pull something like this together on my own, so I would have to copy a photo like this. I am definitely not opposed to something like that, and using living room decor ideas like this as an inspiration for whatever I could then create.
Any time I see beautiful living rooms like this I always wonder if anybody actually "lives" in these spaces and uses them. Don't get me wrong, there are about a dozen beautiful living room ideas in here that I would absolutely copy to my own house, but those same ideas would make me never want my kids to step foot in the room haha. I love whatever shiny fabric they used on the sofas but, like, is that stain resistant? I think not. Above all, I would say that my favorite part of the whole room is the artwork and wall decor. That gilded mirror above the fireplace is so chic and perfectly accents the mauve tones in the sofas. This definitely has me fiending for a living room makeover as soon as my budget allows.
I have seen a lot of beautiful living rooms throughout my design career, but this has to be one of my favorites. In my opinion, the single thing that is most striking in these living room pictures is the gorgeous honey wood trim both on the ceiling and all of the doorways, floors, etc. These days homes are so cookie cutter that any time I see something new and unique like this I definitely hone in on it. I love creating spaces that really wow my customers (and anybody that walks inside) so I always take not of things that catch my eye or that I think will grow to be something bigger one day. I had that feeling when I first started seeing beautiful living room colors in primarily grey tones and now look where we are with all of the white and grey trends.
Beautiful living rooms with stunning views seem to be the name of the game on here and I, for one, am jealous of these lucky lucky homeowners! It would be one thing to have a stunningly stylish living room design like this contemporary dream, but it is on a whole other level to be able to look out the windows to those beautiful mountains. But alas, I live in an ordinary suburban home with your cliche modern meets traditional all white decor with wood floors and a single accent color. I would just adore having chic contemporary space like this to come home to everyday, but I just don't know that it works well for a family of young kids.
