I really wanted to do something unique when renovating my bathroom, so I decided to go with a modern design. I enjoy that this theme uses neutral monochromatic color schemes that make the room feel clean and spacious. One of my favorite modern bathroom ideas is to stick to simple colors, like shades of black and white, and then add a pop of color through accent decor. This is a great idea for me because I am constantly wanting to change the design of a room, so changing colors of decorations is a great way to do this. I am planning to add royal blue towels and flowers soon. For my modern bathroom designs I decided to use white, grey, and black mosaic glass tile in the walk-in shower as well as on the vanity backsplash.
As a contractor I have a lot of clients asking me for advice on modern bathroom ideas and wanted to share one of my most recent projects that used this theme. This was a part of a new home build and the owners wanted to have a large master bathroom with a modern design. We made the room very open with simple decor and a neutral color scheme. Neutral or monochromatic colors are often used in contemporary bathrooms because it goes with the designs clean and sleek feel. The tin sinks in the dark grey granite countertops make for an elegant yet modern accent in the room. Since many contemporary designs have neutral tones, a great way to add a pop of color is through accent decor.
Lately I have really been enjoying modern bathroom ideas that incorporate a classic grey and white color palette. In my opinion, there is something so timeless about sleek modern bathroom vanities in a subtle grey color palette because they go well with nearly any accents you could want and do not look too trendy or dated. The one in these photos is a great example of what I am talking about -- the floating design keeps it contemporary looking but the material and finish is a bit more traditional. This makes it easy to blend with a variety of decor styles and bathroom remodel ideas, whether they lean more classic or edgy and modern.
I am amazed how beautiful and sophisticated this modern bathroom design looks. Some modern bathroom ideas can be very industrial looking with sleek lines, neutral tones, and chrome fixtures throughout. But I love how this design plan throws in a touch of traditional theme while keeping a contemporary feel. The traditional look is shown with the grey and white marble countertop and tile shower and is my favorite part of this room. The light shade of grey on the wall paired with the tile makes for, one of many, great grey bathroom ideas. What's more is that they were able to incorporate the natural wood tones of the door into the design as well. The gold and bronze tones in the mirror and light fixtures pull in these shades and make the space so elegant.
I having been looking for unique modern bathroom ideas that have a little bit of a twist on the popular looks of today. The modern bathroom decor of this particular home stood out to me because of the funky tile designs intermingled with a more standard slate grey square. The decorative pieces look as though somebody sketched photos of architectural tools directly on to the tile with charcoal (perhaps they did), and lends a really cool look to an otherwise neutral space. I love bathroom renovations like this that bring something a bit different to the table and inspire you to look outside of the box with your design.
My husband and I wanted to have a large modern master bath but were unsure of the best way to plan it. Our contractor showed us all the popular modern bathroom designs 2019, such as grey and white color schemes and large walk-in showers with seamless doors. This really helped us to narrow down the best plan for us, and I could not be happier with how it turned out. One of my favorite master bathroom ideas was the large walk-in shower with a rainfall shower head. I love the way the mosaic glass tiles turned out, it gives the relaxing feel of an oasis. My favorite modern bathroom ideas we chose were the dark grey contemporary vanity with an open shelf.
