I think that blue and white is one of those classic color combinations in living room interior design that will simply never go out of style because of its timeless appeal. The room I have featured here is probably my favorite living room design 2022 that my team has done so far, partly because it is so deceptively simple. We have really only used three shades to fill the space -- white, navy, and Carolina blue. In order to bring interest and depth to the design without overwhelming the space, we layered in many textures and patterns while still keeping everything fairly monochromatic. Of course, my favorite touch of the entire space is the gorgeous and opulent crown molding ideas that we decided to extend to the tray style ceiling. This was certainly the most expensive part of the room, but I think that the effect that it created was well worth it.
I used to think that living room interior design was one of the harder rooms to work on but, now that I have gained more experience, I actually look forward to the opportunity to transform these spaces. The reason why these rooms intimidated me before is because they are oftentimes the hub of home interior design, and the space on which you really base the rest of your decor in the main living areas. More often than not these days, there is a kitchen and dining room not too far away that will borrow the color palette and style motif. For this reason, I tend to keep these space quite neutral and only bring color in through artwork and random accents. I find that it is easier to carry living room design ideas beyond that dedicated space when there are not a ton of colors that I need to coordinate elsewhere. Simplicity is definitely key if you ask me.
This is a different take on living room interior design than I am usually attracted to, but something about the entire thing really works for me. You usually don't think of combining ultra contemporary furniture with down-home rustic architecture when you think of beautiful living rooms. But this design really went outside of the box and held no prisoners when it came to selecting unconventional items to pair together. Between the angel statue, two story stacked stone fireplace, and chrome accented furniture, I did not know what to think at first. The living room furniture ideas were the first to grow on me, and then I became enthralled with the rest. I give the entire look an A+ as far as both creativity as well as design. Well done!
This cozy country meets contemporary living room interior design is basically my dream space. I think that it perfectly reflects my personality, from the subtle yet vibrant color palette to the eccentric living room decor and everything in between. Believe it or not, the jewel-toned rug is probably my favorite part of the room and the single thing that I have spent hours hunting around for online so that I too could base my home around it. I think that it is the perfect mixture of bold colors and pattern, with a muted cast over it so that it doesn't stick out too much in the space. I think that this piece as well as all of the accent decor that they used really embodies what is trending in living room ideas 2022, at least based on what I have been hearing from my designer friends.
Living room interior design is actually a major element of your home decor because it tends to set the tone for the main living spaces of the home including the kitchen, dining room, and perhaps a library or guest room. My clients know me for my contemporary room design (one of my favorite homes in my portfolio is posted here) but I will also table in more traditional looks from time to time. I tend to gravitate towards cleaner and more sleek color palettes and overall decor themes because the promote a feeling of calm the moment you walk through the door. Quite frankly, you can be as subtle or as extreme as you would like with modern living room ideas. In this room we went for a bolder look with rich metals and striking art, but you could use softer textiles for a a simpler style.
Blue and white living room interior design is my absolute favorite -- if I could do every commissioned home in this palette, I certainly would. To me there is something so classic and tasteful about this color combination, and it is something that you could definitely utilize in a traditional or in a modern style home. In fact, the living room decor ideas here blends those two style profiles effortlessly to create a space that is very current, yet has those traditional touches that infuse the space with undeniable elegance. Plus the subtle grey walls and crisp white trim only enhance the space rather than distract from the varying shades of blue in the textiles and artwork. If you are on the hunt for sitting room ideas that are very trendy yet won't go out of style and time soon, I would definitely save these photos for inspiration.
