Bedroom Ideas
As someone who flips homes for a living, I see a lot of customers and clients who think that it's necessary to spend vast amounts of money ripping up carpeting and rebuilding walls. Not true! Wall decor ideas are the first thing I always recommend. If the paint on the walls is clean, you can freshen any room by adding a painting, sculpture, or neat row of photos. Wall art ideas for living room spaces are easy to find.

Generate new ideas by hunting online, observing what the rooms in your friends and family's homes look like, and keep a list of works of art you appreciate for inspiration. Other wall ideas like freshening up the paint, adding built-in shelving units, and touching up baseboards can also improve the look and value of your home without spending over your budget.

Coming up with wall decor ideas that will compliment your bedroom seems like a challenging job, but it needn't be. For example, your bedding styles and colors change with the season, and you should look for items that will flatter your bedspread, as well as your flooring, drapery, and even lamps. When you keep that in mind, redecorating turns from an overwhelming challenge to a fun project. Also, remember that bedroom color schemes should work together. The wall shades should blend so seamlessly with the floor colors and comforter that you barely notice a shift in style or tone. Bedroom wall decor ideas may include paintings, children's framed artwork, sketches, and family photos. By picking frames that are dark or neutral in color, your wall decor can stay in place no matter the season or other changes you may make in the future.

When you think of changing the appearance of your home, you often focus on big ideas like replacing all the furniture or repainting every wall and recarpeting every bit of floor space. That's not necessary, though. Instead, consider wall art ideas as a way to update a room's look, add character, and give new life to old furniture and flooring. Little changes can have a significant impact on your home's overall feel, too. Living room wall decor ideas like paintings, abstract art, sculptures, and family photographs add a bit of character and a lot of style. Redesigning a room can be as simple as repurposing the old, tired looks into new and exciting pieces of art. Remember, little changes can make a big difference, and wall decor ideas are small, budget-friendly ways to freshen your home's look.

I adore country home decor. From the cozy knickknacks to the whitewashed wooden walls to the unique homey seating and old fashioned lighting, this is my style! After fitting my kitchen with new country-themed lighting, repainting the ceilings white, and bringing in fun barstool seating, I found the room still lacking. My contractor suggested a few kitchen wall decor ideas that made all the difference! With the simple addition of a themed backsplash, a few paintings, and an artsy cupboard, I've turned my stale old kitchen into a dream room. If you're remodeling or making changes to your kitchen, consider adopting wall decor ideas that will add small touches to the room. You don't need to purchase all new appliances or replace flooring to give your kitchen a fresh look. Little things really can make a big difference.

My living room, post remodel, is my favorite room in the house. After scouring the internet for wall design ideas, I began keeping a running list of things that appealed to me as well as objects I didn't think would fit my living space. I also took note of things in friends' homes that I thought might work well in my own home. Unique wall decor ideas like giant mirrors, abstract art, and family photos arranged strategically appealed to me. And these were all things I could do myself. Other wall decor ideas like adding a built-in shelf and recessed wall lighting had to be hired out. Once finished though, my small living room, which was once the room I never spent time in, has become a cherished space in which to read, visit with friends, or simply relax.

Browsing your local bathroom design gallery is a great way to find ideas and inspiration, but you still may need to get creative to make the most of uniquely-shaped bathroom spaces and layouts, like this one. This narrow area is optimized by the glass-enclosed shower and the incorporation of wall decor ideas like a large mirror that gives the impression that the room is larger than it is. Many other fabulous bathroom wall decor ideas can be seen in this picture, from the intricate design of the wallpaper, to the sleek, antique look of the candlestick light fixtures. Bold, unexpected design choices like these can turn a boring, beige bathroom into an understated dream space. This room is simple, yet elegant, sleek, yet inviting, modern, yet timeless. Bathroom design doesn't have to be over-the-top or extravagant in order to add style and value to your home.
