This homeowner really went next level with their living room wall decor ideas in here, between the stunning window treatments, lush textiles and all of the unique artwork. Even though some of the living room wall decor that they chose is just a little bit over the top for my taste (like that fringe trim on the sofas), I do like the overall look they have going on in here. I have always, gravitated towards more neutral color palettes because I feel that they are way more versatile than pretty much any other scheme. Not only do they look good in the present, but these designs can evolve as trends change. I think that it was especially smart of them to carry this coloring into those window treatments and even the artwork because, again, this design can easily evolve over time. Beautiful living rooms like this will never go out of style and will remain elegant and current year after year.
I am really torn between thinking that this home needs more living room wall decor ideas, and actually loving the simplicity of it. There is a lot going on with the architectural detailing in here, so you almost don't need anything to compete with it. The living room colors are very subtle and neutral -- kind of that mix of modern traditional ideas that is popular. This helps to not to take away from that gorgeous view outside of the floor to ceiling windows and amazing fireplace. Plus the furniture and rug is so bold that the place could easily get overwhelmed if you don't tone down the rest of the decor. I think that the architecture and living room colors are enough to make this design feel very complete, without needing to add extra artwork on the wall. However, a piece or two may not hurt since the walls are so tall.
I am really lost on trying to figure out what types of living room wall decor ideas to bring into here. The built ins that we have on multiple walls are kind of a lot, so I am worried about making the space feel cluttered by adding too much artwork and stuff on the walls. I know that a lot of the interior design ideas that you see on here really emphasize layering colors, patterns, and materials to make a room feel complete, but I think that concept may be too much in here. I am wondering if anybody has recommendations on ways that we could decorate so that the place feels complete, without crossing that fine line into cluttered territory. I am pretty much open to any style of living room interior design, I just want it to look elegant and high end when it is complete.
When you have stunning architecture like this, you really don't need to worry about coming up with a lot of living room wall decor ideas because the room is kind of decorated already all on its own. Despite all of this though, I really do think that this designer did a great idea of balancing out the architecture and living room decor ideas so that they enhance each other rather than compete. When you kind of remain at eye level you see this beautifully decorated space that is very tasteful and understated, but then when you raise your gaze up to the ceiling you see the full design of the space. I love all sorts of paneled ceilings or anything that involves beams like this. It really takes a living room design to the next level no matter what your style or color palette is.
There is so much going on with the living room wall decor ideas in here that I really don't know where to start. This place looks like a full on medieval castle and I am here for it! All of the details are on point, from the stacked stone fireplace as matching walls, to the paneled ceiling and exposed rafters. Even the chandlers and sconces make you feel like you are in another era. Obviously this look is not going to be everybody's cup of tea, but I actually think that you could get a lot of really good home decor ideas for living room designs of all sizes and styles. There are elements in here that work really well for traditional designs, but there are also some really cool techniques that you could employ in a more contemporary style home.
How awesome are these living room wall decor ideas that incorporate really awesome prints and other abstract pieces. Probably my absolute favorite thing about all of the living room decor in here is the fact that the color palette is so incredibly simple, but still looks bold at the same time. I like that they used a really dark navy blue instead of black and white like you so often see. This color combination provides the perfect backdrop to all of the outrageous decor elements that they have in here like that stunning sofa and the artistic metal banister. These living room ideas are probably not for your average person, but they are definitely speaking to me. I would totally do something like this in my townhouse.
