It is nice to see kitchen colors 2020 moving away from the crisp white and blues that we have been seeing for the past few years. I much prefer these more contemporary grey and beige shades featured on the walls and kitchen cabinet colors of this annual idea home that I sit every year, because I think that it brings a much more updated and edgier look to a home. In my opinion, this room feels less like a kitchen and more like a well decorated living space that, quite frankly, could take on the function of any type of room in the home. If you removed the center island, I could easily see a couch and artwork on the walls -- the space does not seem inherently "kitchen" to me.
While I still adore our white traditional cabinetry, I will be the first to admit that we need to swap out light fixtures and change up the wall paint to more trendy kitchen colors 2020. This style is clearly at least a decade old and could use some sprucing up just to make our home in general feel more contemporary. I think that we have some great bones here, and most of the kitchen colors are actually very neutral and nice. It is just the accent decor that is really dating the space. If the budget allows, my goal would be to swap out light fixtures, replace the backsplash, and paint the walls and ceiling. I have been seeing a lot of grey and sage greens on the lists of popular kitchen paint colors 2020, and I think that either one of those shade ranges could work very well in here.
If I had to pick only one of the most popular kitchen colors 2020 that I have seen on here to use in my home, it would definitely be this warm beige tone. Now I don't really love the rest of the decor that this designer used in here (especially not the cabinets and red chairs) but something about the kitchen wall colors really grabs me. We have all white shaker cabinets in our home, so I think that this color would make the perfect accent to bring our kitchen up to the latest and greatest styling. I am feeling a little bit antsy because I have not taken on a home decor project in awhile, so I am just itching to start something fresh.
I am so glad that fresh neutrals seem to be remaining some of the most popular kitchen colors 2020, because it is a shade range that I think can do no wrong. Take this lovely traditional style home for example, their kitchen paint colors are technically nothing special, but the way that they all blend together makes the space feel so complete and well-decorated. Most people probably think that this was an easy feat because they are just simple white and beige shades, but I know better. It took some real skill to develop this design and to build each item and each color off of each other. I think that the general opinion is that white kitchen ideas are a scapegoat and for people that do not know anything else to do, but I actually think that they can be some of the most challenging designs to do well.
It is a fantastic take on some of the hottest kitchen colors 2020 that we have been seeing in magazines lately. Usually the inspiration photos on here are of those gigantic really unattainable mansions, but I like seeing more average and attainable homes on here to give me a better idea of what kitchen color schemes would actually look like in my home. Not all of us have tall lofty ceilings, tons of square footage, and all the money in the world to spend on a custom kitchen. I thoroughly enjoyed looking at how the trending white and blue kitchen cabinet colors 2020 looked in this home because it actually reminds me a lot of the layout of ours.
I think that this is a very interesting take on the cooler kitchen colors 2020 that I have been seeing a lot of in the paint catalogs. It is definitely not uncommon for me to switch up my paint colors on a yearly basis (if not more often) because I just get bored so easily. I too went with very simple white kitchen cabinet paint colors because it made for an easy backdrop whenever I wanted to switch up the wall color or other decorative accents that may be used around the space. Currently we have a bright blue shade on the wall, but I am loving this understated taupe color that they used here. This year, I think that I may add in one of these subway tile kitchen backsplash ideas 2020 alongside a similar subtle tan shade on the walls for a completely fresh new look.
