I had to have gone through about three dozen pictures of painted kitchen cabinets before I found the perfect example of something that would actually look good in our kitchen. It has been killer trying to find kitchen paint that would blend in with our old granite (that looks just like what is pictured here) without appearing too dark or too stark white against it. In a world that loves cool-toned colors and tons of neutrals, I can imagine that a lot of people will not be attracted to this sunny yellowish shade of white. But I think these kitchen cabinet paint colors pull in the tones of the granite so well while still making everything look quite updated. Now I just have to figure out exactly what brand and shade this is...suggestions welcome!
Pictures of painted kitchen cabinets sure make it look like there is absolutely no difference between purchasing brand new units and painting old ones in the same color, but I am wondering if it is that way up close as well. I really want to upgrade our house with some of the trendy kitchen cabinet ideas 2022 like this white and grey color scheme but, honestly, I just don't have that much money to spend right now. A lot of people on these forums suggest just painting over old units in order to look brand new. Obviously it is a budget friendly solution (which is great), but I don't want our house to look cheap and janky. Does anybody have personal experience with changing out kitchen paint colors like this that could speak to the quality?
I have been looking at tons and tons of pictures of painted kitchen cabinets because we are strongly consider painting ours, but I am worried that they are going to look cheap or DIY. My whole purpose in taking on this project is to make it look like we completely redid the kitchen, but without spending the money to purchase all new country kitchen cabinets to mimic the white and blue spaces that I love. From what I can tell from these galleries, the main thing that influences the outcome is what the cabinets themselves look like. Obviously if you have really old cabinets with out of date detailing, you are going to be able to tell that you just slapped a coat of paint on them. But if you have a more classic or timeless design, you can pick out just about any kitchen paint colors with white cabinets and they will look very current.
I used to think that if you have seen one (or fifty) pictures of painted kitchen cabinets you have seen them all, but this website continues to astound me with the creativity that some people have in their home design. Painting kitchen cabinets has been on my to do list for ages, but the reason I have not gotten around to it is because I keep flip flopping on what shade I want to use in here. At first I thought that I wanted to do one of those trendy soft grey shades, but then white kept growing on me. I was absolutely sold after I saw this kitchen design, primarily because of the whitewashed ceiling that accents the simple white cabinetry. It is the perfect casual almost rustic look, that still feels modern enough that it is not cliche.
These are definitely some of the most beautiful and high end pictures of painted kitchen cabinets that I have come across so far; in face, I would have no idea that they were not originally this color. Unfortunately a lot of the painted kitchen cabinet ideas that I have come across on here just look cheap to me, like something a bored homeowner attempted to DIY over the weekend. I know that it is possible to make them look good because several of my neighbors have told me about it, but I guess I wanted to see it with my own eyes. Finally I searched popular kitchen colors 2022 and found this stunning kitchen with an original stained island and these pretty grayish beige cabinets around the perimeter of the room.
Out of all of the pictures of painted kitchen cabinets that I looked at on here, it was quite rare that I saw black units. I guess that black is not necessarily in the list of the top kitchen cabinet colors 2022, but I still figured that some people would use it because of the versatility that this color can bring to a space. I think that you could easily use it in a very sleek and modern design or even something slightly more on the contemporary rustic side. Quite frankly, you could even go traditional with the right accessories and other decorative elements (like maybe some marble or subway tile). I know that a ton of people think that white is the best paint for kitchen cabinets, but I would certainly argue that black is something to consider as well.
