I am loving the understated elegance that these living room decor ideas bring to this contemporary home. In my opinion, a neutral color palette is always the way to go when you are trying to achieve chic and effortless home decor. Too much color can overwhelm a space, so I much prefer to play with textures and patterns in very similar shades, all layered to give visual interest without looking to cluttered or overdone. In this particular room, I love how they kept the living room furniture ideas simple and timeless, with pieces that could transition through many seasons and trends without looking outdated. It is the perfect mix of trendy and traditional and sets a great base for their entire look.
As you can tell from these photos, our home is in need of some living room decor ideas to bring some more personality to the space. Our current look is not horrible -- we incorporated a lot of the popular contemporary living room ideas that I have seen in magazines and online idea galleries. But, in my opinion, it just lacks pizazz and personality. I think the space needs a bit more color and perhaps some personal touches like art work and textiles in brighter colors. When we were selecting the Behr paint colors for the space, I wanted to be sure to go with something that would be neutral enough to pair well with any accent color we chose. Right now we have primarily used navy blue but I am definitely open to bringing in some brighter and more vibrant shades.
In every home that I have lived in throughout my life so far, I have let the living room decor ideas that I used determine the style of the rest of the home. Even small living room decorating ideas have a ton of influence on the broader picture as you move through the dining room, kitchen, and den (depending on the layout of the house). Now that we have moved yet again, I am trying to come up with a new style for the living room as a way to revamp all of our decor. I have grown tired of the same old same old and want some fresh new living room ideas 2022 to excite me again. I absolutely love the style of the modern yet rustic living area and would love to replicate it in our new cottage style home.
I am just so in love with the eclectic cottage chic living room decor ideas in this home. I am always on the look out for a unique living room design that stands out from all of the rest of the grey and white spaces that I have seen for years now. This particular home retains a neutral color palette that is so popular nowadays but with shades that I have never seen used before likes soft moss greens, warm beiges and even dusty grey blues. I love the combination of all of the colors throughout the furniture pieces, textiles and living room wall decor ideas. I think that the element that grounds the entire space and ties it all together is all of the architectural detailing the house has. Between the stucco fireplace, exposed wood beams on the ceiling, and gorgeous white washed wood floors, no designer could go wrong in here.
I am loving the living room decor ideas that the designer used in this home because it creates such a lovely mixture of contemporary trendy decor alongside more traditional pieces and textiles. Most of the living room design ideas that I have seen are very one dimensional and feature a singular style without much creativity or diversity. The combination of traditional fabrics like herringbone and tweed, alongside sleek contemporary lines, an awesome modern style fireplace and trendy accent furniture make for a very interesting and unexpected look. I definitely want to try to replicate these living room pictures in our loft because I think that it would be the perfect style for our more industrial architecture.
I wanted to post some photos of our new main living area in hopes that we may inspire some people with the living room decor ideas that we used throughout the space. I wanted our home to be a bit unique and not a carbon copy of every other neutral contemporary house on the block. We decided to pair rustic touches like the stone veneer fireplace and exposed beam ceiling alongside more elegant features like a crustal chandelier, elegant armchairs and formal draperies. I think that the most interesting designs result from pairing unexpected elements together in new ways. Thats what we constantly strove to do with the home decor ideas for living room, and I think we managed to bring it all together in a pretty and cohesive way.
