Bedroom Ideas
The work my team has done here utilizes minimalism while still showcasing a girls bedroom decor. With the large bedroom window, we wanted to use lighter colors to brighten the room and encourage a positive response. This particular design is intended to inspire basic teenage girl bedroom ideas, as you can see from the size of the bed this isn't a small child's room. The light pink of the accent wall draws you to the variety of shades of the sheets and pillows, further leading to the floor and flows to the furniture.

A room should be a total entity, an all-encompassing design that delights the eyes and makes visual sense. Although the bed is for a more grown person, the colors still reflect youth and are also appropriate for a little girl room decor. One would just need to switch out the bed and you have a children's room.

When my daughter and I first started planning out her new bedroom design, we knew that we didn't want to use your typical bright pink girls room decor that is typically shown when you search for inspiration pictures online. She wanted a space that would stand out from her friends and be a little more chic and adult. Even though I don't want her to grow up too fast, I loved her idea to make a glamorous space without all of the trimmings of a little girls bedroom. This would make the decor last longer because she won't want to swap out as much once she starts high school. We chose this dusty purple paint color and accented it with a grey and gold paint palette. I think that the color combination is so chic and luxurious, certainly not something I have seen in an 11 year olds bedroom before. Our favorite part of the design is definitely the whimsical chandelier that we found at a local consignment shop. I customized it a bit to be more appropriate for little girl room decor, by stringing a vine of metallic flowers throughout. It was the perfect touch to bring the whole room together.

I was scrolling through my Pinterest feed for girls beds when I came across this adorable pic and just fell in love! The beds ornate iron scrollwork and high-arch canopy with a crowned top gives off such an elegant feel and is a perfect focal point. The entire room is just adorable, and I really like how the pastel pink hues create such a soft look without feeling like Im stuck in a Pepto bottle. The whole design is even giving me baby girl nursery ideas, with the simple white furniture and subtle feel. Every detail, from the floral wall hanging and white shag rug down to the ruffled curtains and heart-shaped mirror, perfectly complements the regal ambiance thats fit for a princess. I even love the delicate crystals hanging from the ceiling fan. This whole little girl room decor is a dream come true if you ask me!

My husband and I (well mostly me) have been on the hunt for toddler girl room ideas to update our daughter's nursery into a "big girl" room now that she has a little brother on the way. We wanted her to feel special during this transition and like she has a space all her own. With this being said we also want a room that can grow with her over the years, and one that we do not need to be constantly changing to keep up with her interests and favorite Disney characters. When we were choosing her baby girl room ideas, I got a little bit carried away and chose a design that boxed us in to that "nursery look." It very much looks like a room for an infant and not one that she could use as she grows up. I loved this little girl room decor because, at its core, it is quite simple and neutral, but the fun pops of hot pink and funky artwork make it more whimsical. The furniture and wall paint could easily be carried through a number of different decor themes, and we would only need to swap out some bed linens and accessories as her style preferences change over the years.

Little girl bedroom ideas do not get any cuter than this sweet pink and white retreat. There are just enough classic touches to make the design quite traditional, but the whimsical pops color and unexpected artwork make the entire look so fun and funky. I found this designer when I was looking for ways to update our existing baby girl room decor to be more suitable for our now elementary school age daughter. The before photo of this room actually had the same basic foundation -- the pink and white striped walls, dark wood floor and white furniture -- but with a crib and different textiles and decorative accents. I thought it was ingenious how they kept the basics and made the room look completely different by simply swapping out curtains, bedding and artwork. Transitioning to little girl room decor only took changing a couple of items and doesn't need to cost an arm and a leg. This room design inspired me to look at her current space differently, and see how I can transition her design without changed the basis of the room.

When I first found out I was having a daughter 6 years ago, I couldn't wait to make her a cute pink girls room filled with whimsical feminine touches. We went all out and designed her a gorgeous hot pink and gold nursery that I absolutely love. Now that she has turned five she asked for a "big girl room" that is more grown up and a little less "loud" than her nursery. I wanted to still incorporate the pink palette but in a way that is a bit more elegant and chic. This room is my favorite source of girls bedroom ideas to use for her new space. I love the very soft pink color palette is that is subtle yet classic and would provide a good base for many decor styles as her personality and preferences changes over the years to come. The beautiful vintage style bed is also a perfect accent to the color palette and a design that, again, can be used in a variety of different looks over the years. The designer added touches of little girl room decor to keep it age appropriate but, if you removed them, it could easily be used to please a teenagers preferences.
