I am pleased to see that you can achieve some really great style in small kitchen remodel (about the size of ours) because so many of the truly stunning homes on here are absolutely huge. It can be intimidating and make you feel like you can never achieve something great on a smaller scale.

This is pretty much the most bare of the kitchen makeovers 2022 that I have looked at on here. I actually like it like that because it means that I can really use my imagination to picture first how it could potentially look in my home and, second, other decorative touches that I could use to make it my own. Whether you are looking at large mansions or small kitchen makeovers, a lot of time these homes have very specific decor that is obviously designed around the owners personal tastes. While that is certainly nice, it does not necessarily help those of us that are trying to come up with designs that reflect our own personal style. That is where a blank canvas like this really comes in handy because you can really see the true untapped potential of the kitchen cabinet ideas 2022 at their core.

I have seen a lot of fantastic kitchen makeovers 2022 on here, but I have to admit that I am confused by this one. First of all there is no cohesive style or decor palette, it is kind of a wish mash of a bunch of different themes. As a result it does not have that high end or "finished" look of a lot of the beautiful kitchens on here. Instead it feels like an after thought and like they could not decide what they really want. The cabinets themselves feel very traditional (even though I do not like the color combination). Then the light fixture and furniture feels much more modern. The truly great kitchen design ideas 2022 that I have seen on here are very well put together and clearly follow a single theme. I think that this home has a lot of potential, it just fell short for me.

Whenever this time of year rolls around, I always make time to look at the new galleries of kitchen makeovers 2022 on here because I love seeing what the latest trends and products will be. I have been seeing a ton of contemporary kitchen makeovers that take more traditional style designs and make them more "edgy" with new light fixtures, small furniture (stools or dining tables), and hardware. That is exactly what they did in this kitchen, and I think that the finished design is just brilliant. It is a distinctly modern kitchen but with a fun twist from the whimsical light fixture over the island, and the funky grey backsplash tile used throughout. I am not sure that I have the space to do something like this now, but I am going to remember it as a "someday" project.

I know this is not as exciting as some of the super trendy kitchen makeovers 2022 on here, but I am super proud of how our personal home renovations turned out. And since we did the work in 2022, I think that qualifies us for a shout out in one of these galleries haha. We started with a pretty good traditional kitchen design (all of the cabinets are original), but it just lacked the pizazz of the gorgeous homes on here and the homes in our neighborhood. We made small changes like replacing the old and outdated travertine backsplash with this lovely marble herringbone, and adding more detailed trim work on the range hood and island to make the cabinetry feel more decadent. I think that these are pretty easy projects that could be done for any budget or even if you were looking for small kitchen ideas 2022 but did not want to commit to a full renovation.

So we just moved into this townhome and, after looking at so many stunning kitchen makeovers 2022 on here, I really can't decide if our design looks trendy or if it looks weird and outdated. I get the retro vibe that the previous owner was going for and understand that it is a "thing" nowadays, I just don't know if it is my personal style. That being said though, I really do not want to take on the cost of a full on kitchen cabinet makeover so I have a feeling that I am just going to have to figure out how to make these units work. I have read a lot about painting cabinets, so I know that that could be a fairly low cost option, or maybe even refacing the doors -- I'm just not sure. Looking at kitchen remodel pictures on here really inspires me to see the potential of the space, but also intimidates me as well.
