This home is just brimming with kitchen makeover ideas that I want to incorporate in our house. We definitely don't have as grand of architecture as they do, but I think that we could add some more detailing during our kitchen remodel. The first thing on my list would be wood beams in this exact finish with the metal brackets to give the same old world medieval look that they have. Second, I actually am considering doing cement floors because, even though that is not what they used here, I think that it would be a fantastic accent to everything else going on. Finally, perhaps the most important of all of the kitchen design ideas that they have going on, is the cabinetry. I need to find something is this gorgeous dark glossy finish but with extra detailing like they have. This is going to be the one challenging hunt of the whole project.
While I certainly love for my home to look trendy and high end, I also tend to gravitate towards the quicker kitchen makeover ideas on here because they have so much more personality than a lot that you see. Rather than doing your typical all white kitchen cabinet makeover, I like how they mixed and matched finishes. There are some beautiful dark wood base units to really anchor the design, but then the majority are done in a crisp white finish that keeps everything feeling open and bright. This would be a fantastic option for anybody looking for traditional but slightly unconventional small kitchen ideas 2022, because you would still have that open feeling that most people aim for but with a lovely rich twist.
I am undecided on how I feel about these kitchen makeover ideas that my designer suggested. This was another house that she recently completed, and she thought that a very similar kitchen design would look good in our house. We do like more contemporary styles, but I am unsure of how I feel about the mixture of the cool modern elements with more traditional features like the paneled cabinets and herringbone backsplash. I have seen it work sometimes, but here I think that the two styles clash against one another. I would prefer to find small kitchen ideas that are a little bit more unified and flow better, especially since our floor plan is not huge. What do you think -- should I go with this design or keep looking?
I really love the mixture of classic old and trendy new kitchen makeover ideas in here. There is a little bit of traditional with the marble countertops, shaker style cabinets and layout, but then the contemporary touches take the design in a new direction. I think that any homeowners that are looking for kitchen remodel ideas that feel timeless and will stay current for a long time should definitely look to this home for inspiration. Everything is very neutral (both in color and in style) so it can blend well with a ton of different color palettes and decor themes. In addition, none of the elements feel too trendy or like they will stick out in a year or two as "so 2022," you know? This would be perfect for small kitchen makeovers or even a very large chefs kitchen.
Sometimes I feel like if you have seen 5 kitchen makeover ideas on here you have seen them all because they all seem to incorporate the same group of things. This home would fall under the category of typical painted cabinets in an understated grey color accented by stainless steel appliances, granite countertop and white decor. Not there is anything wrong with this because it certainly meets all of the criteria of all the popular kitchen ideas 2022, but I just want to see more spark and personality. This is a great foundation to a design, but I think that it could benefit from one or two bolder accent colors (doesn't need to be anything too crazy). I think that a lot of homeowners stop their kitchen makeovers before the are fully complete because they are afraid to add more color into their new neutral designs.
Looking at kitchen makeover ideas has been one of my favorite activities lately because it gets me so excited about all of the possibilities for our future home. I really think that beautiful kitchens are one of those things that totally makes a house a home because they are the main gathering areas for most families (certainly ours). I have spent a lot of time trying to figure out exactly what we want out of our kitchen as far as layout and contents, as well as the overall style theme that I want to go with. These photos show basically exactly what I want to do as far as layout (love all of the islands) and overall style. The only thing that I don't love is the kitchen cabinet ideas that they used because I prefer all white units. But those are little details that would be easy to tweak for our home.
