When it comes to picking the best paint for bathrooms, I always tell clients to think long term. There are so many popular bathroom colors that could really give away the age of the home in a few years when they are out of style. For example, this is a gorgeous bathroom with lovely neutral grey tile in a distinctly contemporary style. However, I personally disagree with the paint choice because I think that they grey green color is a bit dated. Sure it is trending now, but I crisp white would have provided more balance and style longevity than some of the hot bathroom paint colors 2022 that could go out of style next year.
Some people may argue with me, but I think that beige colors are the best paint for bathrooms because they hide water stains and the grime that can tend to accumulate in these spaces. I love a clean bright space, especially when it comes to bathroom color ideas because there are so many intricate elements incorporated in these particular rooms. Between vanities, tubs, showers, mirrors, light fixtures, etc. a design can get overwhelming very quickly. For this reason, I am extremely careful to keep all of the bathroom paint colors that I use in here very simple and neutral so as not to overpower the other elements.
In my opinion, neutrals are always the best paint for bathrooms because lighter colors like this can be wiped down and touched up easier (something that always tends to happen in this space). One of the biggest design challenges that my clients come to me with is selecting bathroom paint colors for anything from a master suite to a kids room. By and large, my go to shade if I am not sure where to take a room has been Benjamin Moore Dove Grey (pictured here) in the bathroom humidity-shield formula. I think that it is one of he best bathroom colors on the market because it coordinates perfectly with a ton of different counter materials and flooring selections because it is nearly white, but it has a nice contrast against trim.
A contractor years and years ago told me that Benjamin Moore humidity control is the best paint for bathrooms because it holds up to the excessive moisture without mildewing or fading. Trends in bathroom colors 2022 are getting a bit bolder than in recent years so it is important to ensure that your colors will remain vibrant and crisp regardless of the environment that they are in. We just finished up this lovely master suite done in a taupe theme with beautiful and elegant cream accents. It was a nice departure from the gray bathroom paint that has been so popular in years past, and shows you different options than some of your classic neutrals.
I am trying to get some advice from contractors or designers on here on what is the best paint for bathrooms as far as both shade and durability. I really want to replicate the bathroom color schemes that the designer used in this gorgeous soft blue, grey, and white space but I am not quite sure where to begin. The lovely blue grey paint seems to be the starting point of the whole design, but I do not know if I should select the shade I like first and then pick coordinating tile or vice versa to get the perfect match. If anybody has any bathroom paint ideas for me or suggestions of how to imitate this space, please let me know!
I would love some help trying to figure out the best paint for bathrooms decorated in a worldly rustic style like this. The decor in this room is spot on what I would like to recreate in our home, but I am not loving the bathroom wall paint that they chose because I think that it is too bold and warm for the space. That being said, I am really at a loss for what color palette would go well with the brown and white theme that I have chosen. I think that white would be too stark, especially in contrast to the tile and plumbing, and I think that brown would be far too bold in such a small space. I would love your input on the best bathroom paint colors for this decor theme.
