I am looking for bathroom color ideas to modernize this space a bit. We do not want to gut the room and get rid of the vanities or tile because I think that they are still quite good quality and have a nice classic design. If we just bring in a few new bathroom paint ideas, I think that we could really transform the space into something like blends traditional styles with contemporary trends quite nicely. The granite countertops do have warm undertones so I think that I will need to avoid today's most popular cool grey and taupe hues. I would much prefer to use one of the more popular bathroom colors 2022 but I fear that I will need to settle with white because I am not sure what other shades would compliment the peach tones in the stone. If any designers on here have an idea, please reach out!
I have always preferred very monochromatic bathroom color ideas because I think they bring a very clean and chic look to a space that you really want to be uncluttered and pristine. The bathroom paint colors we used in our master suite definitely fit into this category, and I enjoy spending time in the space every single day. We went with a neutral palette of grey, taupe, and white. Although the colors are very simple, we made things interesting by layering a lot of different patterns and textiles. This gave it a plush and high end look without overwhelming the design and making it seem cluttered. In the same way, we kept bathroom decor fairly minimal, only brining in a vase of flowers and a few bath trinkets beside the jacuzzi.
I am always amazed by how much new bathroom color ideas can transform a space without touching anything else. Believe it or not this pretty master was completely updated by only a coat of paint, we didn't touch the tile or bathroom cabinets because we had a small budget and just wanted to make small inexpensive changes in preparation of selling. Before the update, the walls were the same deep shade of red as the towels hanging outside of the shower. I thought that such a bold shade may turn off some potential buyers so we started looking at the best bathroom colors for contemporary styles. We found this lovely cool tan shade that blended nicely with the undertones of the tiling but that was just enough to make the white vanities pop.
I love bold bathroom color ideas that are a bit outside of the box and certainly don't look like everything else you see on the market today. When we were looking at houses, this particular space really stood out to me because the bathroom tile ideas were so bold and brought a lot of color and pattern to the large room. The definitely didn't fit into the same category as many of the other homes that we saw that just loved their marble stone and grey walls. All of those were so cookie cutter and we wanted something that would be a bit more unique like what this designer achieved here. In my opinion, the color scheme and tile choice makes the room seem very grand and high end. I was also impressed with the wall palette, because I would have thought that the best paint for bathrooms like this would be a white or grey, but the warm-toned tan works so well.
Bathroom color ideas that I see the most tend to be boring muted grey and beiges. In my master, I wanted the bathroom paint to make more of a statement and be something brighter and whimsical. For this reason I opted for this subtle lavender shade that, in my opinion, looks really nice against the traditional white vanity and lovely marble countertops and shower. I have never really been afraid to play with unexpected bathroom color schemes because my belief has always been that it is just paint and can be changed anytime I want to. I have had bright blue bathrooms before and even a magenta one at one point. This purple look is probably my favorite because it is subtle yet still vibrant and playful at the same time.
I tend to keep bathroom color ideas quite simple in my designs and let other elements like tile, vanities, and decorative accessories really be the star. I find that neutral bathroom colors provide the best blank canvas to any decor theme or design style that I may choose, whether that be ultra modern or elegant and traditional. In this particular space, I opted for my favorite white shade -- Benjamin Moore Chantilly Lace -- to provide a subtle crisp backdrop to the intricate Moroccan tile detailing that we selected for the glass enclosed shower. I wanted to let these unique modern bathroom ideas that we selected for the decor to be the star of the show, but that particular shade of paint still gives great depth to the room even though it is such a simple shade.
