For this reason, I want to create an epic space like the master suite in these bathroom pictures. I love the elegant touches like the crystal chandelier over the jacuzzi and the intricately trimmed cabinetry on the vanity. I want to replicate this space in our own bathroom and will post pictures once we are done!

I like to think that I have a variety of skills as an interior designer, but I have been told lately that bathroom decor is where I really thrive. I have to say that I agree with these statements because I have such a passion for creating elegant and serene retreats to spend the beginning and end of your day in, whether that is picking out the right bathroom wall decor ideas to bring some pizazz to an ordinary design or completely gutting and transforming a space. This is one of my latest guest bath remodels that I am particularly proud of. I think we nailed the small bathroom decor and managed to make a fairly limited floor plan seem open and spacious.

I may be in the minority, but I absolutely love rustic and masculine bathroom decor that harkens back images of the old wild Wild West. Bathroom themes aren't exactly the most popular thing nowadays so I did have some trouble finding photos to inspire our look. This actually proved to be a blessing in disguise because it encouraged us to be super creative and come up with a look that perfectly suited our personal style rather than copying somebody else's design. I have always loved bathroom decor that is a little bit on the unique side, and definitely very shabby chic. My overall style would probably be described as a mixture of traditional elegance with the warmth of a cottage design, so this beach bathroom decor was right up my alley. Unfortunately, we do not actually live on or near a beach, but that does not mean that you can't have fun with maritime inspired accents in your home. In my opinion, I kept things subtle and universal by starting with beautiful beadboard panelling on the walls to give some nice architectural detailing, then a pedestal sink and tub finish off the country style foundation to the bathroom designs. The finishing touches with shells and starfish we have gathered during our beach trips throughout the years.
