Our companyspecializes in beautiful kitchen designs. We decided to focus on these remodel projects, because they allow us to be incredibly creative and establish the decor style and tone of a home. As kitchen design expects, clients are always asking us what trends for 2022 they should incorporate in their home, and which ones they should stay away from. From our perspective, a kitchen island with seating is one of those trends that is current now, but will always be a fantastic piece. Large units like this are as functional as they are beautiful so they really add a lot to the space. This stunning home is a great example of how to incorporate a kitchen island with seating for 4 in a way that feels on scale with the rest of the room. Oftentimes, if you try to adda unit that is too large, it will look off balance and overbearing. In order to prevent this, we centered the kitchen island in front of the large custom hood with adjacent glass door cabinets. This adds a symmetry to the design that prevents the space from feeling cluttered by too many bold decorative elements.
Check out this incredible kitchen island table that we added to one of our recent remodels. This incredible home features a humongous kitchen with a very long floorplan. We wanted to take advantage of this unique layout by incorporating a custom kitchen island that spanned the length of the space. Given that we were creating such a large unit, we were able incorporate a number of unique features including a table-style dining area, full size sink, and bountiful storage options. We chose to finish the kitchen island in the same style as the cabinetry in the rest of the space. I encourage you to use kitchen island ideas like this in your own home to increase the value and functionality of the space. Given the large size of the piece, we thought that continuing the simple white color palette with dark ebony granite would be the least overwhelming look. I love how that choice created this fabulously streamlined look throughout the entire room. We did add subtle touches of decor to liven up the piece, like panelling at the end of the unit, lovely fixtures, an a gorgeous custom faucet.
Ever since I was young and planning my future home, I have always dreamed of having a kitchen island in my house. I absolutely love to entertain. Islands provide a fantastic workspace with plenty of countertop area as well as areas for guest to sit and talk with me while I cook. Unfortunately, the home we moved into has quite a small kitchen. We just completed this beautiful remodel, and I am happy to report that we were able to fit a small kitchen island in the center of the floorplan. I wanted to share pictures because I love how it turned out. We have a very traditional style home so I knew I would need to bring that same look into the kitchen. I started with heavily panelled white cabinetry with lots of gorgeous trim and detailing. The kitchen island cabinets have the exact same look. I know that some designers paint the island a different shade or make it a slightly different design. But, since our room is small, I didnt want to crowd it with too many contrasting design features. I also kept the layout simple and just stuck to extra storage and counterspace as opposed to adding appliances and whatnot.
I love a portable rustic kitchen island like this one to add some extra storage and design to the room without the commitment of installing an entire cabinet unit. It is such a great option for somebody who needs some extra prep space or room to store loose items like pots or produce but does not want to spend a ton of money. You can find these awesome pieces all over the place. They have them at discount furnishing stores, home improvement warehouses, and you can even find a kitchen island cart online at sites like Wayfair or Overstock. I actually found this one on Amazon and it was delivered to my house relatively quickly and was not that complicated to put together. I loved the idea of a small kitchen island to roll in and out of my prep area but that would not permanently take up my floor space. The rustic barn wood material coordinates very well with my traditional white kitchen and granite countertops. Even better, the bronze fixtures perfectly matches the knobs on my existing cabinets.
A large kitchen island is one of the hottest trends in home design for 2022. This, however, is nothing new. Islands have been swiftly gaining in popularity over the past five years. It is not hard to see why. A kitchen island adds tons of storage, a large expanse of extra counterspace, as well as areas for additional seating if needed. Not only this, but they also bring a great element of style to the design. A modern home can benefit from a crisp geometric shape like this one, whereas more traditional homes tend to play around with color and trim on their center island finishes. Even better, kitchen island designs are available in an endless configuration of features. Some include built-in appliances or sinks, while others stick to seating and extra workspace as their primary focus. As an example, this amazing contemporary space features a large island the length of the kitchen that houses a sink, substantial drawer space, and a portion for bar stool seating. It practically doubles the amount of counterspace and storage the kitchen has.
A beautiful kitchen island with storage is an essential part of any modern home. These fantastic units are incredibly versitile. Not only are they a fabulous decorative piece, but they also provide storage, counterspace, and additional area for appliances and sinks. This gorgeous white kitchen island is a great example of how to maximize your floorplan by incorporating one of these units in your home. When we were designing this piece, we knew we wanted it to blend seamlessly with the rest of the room. For this reason, we chose a finish and panelling design that coordinated well with the rest of the cabinets. Our client loves the look of open shelving, so we decided to get creative, and incorporate this feature via a kitchen island with storage on the sides. By adding these small cubbies, it creates a more open look and allows the contents to add to the decor of the space. Right now we displayed these lovely dark sea grass baskets but they can also add cook books, serving ware, pots or anything else they can think of.
