I found this idea for a new shower in one of the bathroom ideas photo gallery on this site. I had been looking for ways to create a modern bathroom in our current outdated footprint and I especially wanted to incorporate a really cool shower feature in the center of the room (I saw one on my favorite home design television show). This particular photo really inspired me because the layout of the space is quite ordinary, but where there used to be a tub/shower combo they ripped it out and replaced it with a jacuzzi then added the shower to the center of the room to create an awesome focal point. The reason that I love looking at pictures of bathroom designs like this is because I would have absolutely never thought to do that in my own space but now I have direction for my project.
I found this awesome master bath when I was browsing through a bathroom ideas photo gallery looking for ideas of how to renovate our home. Most of the bathroom pictures I clicked through were so cookie cutter and featured your standard subway or travertine tile that we have all seen before as well as white cabinetry and faux marble countertops. Although I do love those looks, I really wanted to do something different in our space. This awesome glamorous yet oddly modern design really stood out to me because it was like nothing I had seen before. I love how they used granite and tile to create a floating vanity that blends seamlessly with the shower area.
When I start with a client that really has no clue what they want their home to look like, I tend to direct them to a bathroom ideas photo gallery with images like this to help them narrow down color palettes and decor schemes that they like and dislike. By showing people bathroom remodel pictures that feature bold designs that really embody a certain style, it is easier to discern the pieces they are attracted to or, vice versa, the items that the certainly want to avoid. This is one of my favorite homes to show clients because I think that is has such a fantastic minimalistic approach to country design. There are pieces that are rustic like the beams as well as very modern elements like the bathroom vanities floating in the middle of the room and the huge walk in shower along the backside of the space.
A bathroom ideas photo gallery is a huge asset for any DIY home remodel getting ready to embark on a makeover like this. Modern bathroom ideas are very intricate and bold, so they can be hard to come up with on your own, even for high end interior decorators. Photos of gorgeous bathrooms are a huge asset because they can show you color palettes and decor items that blend well together, or even reveal unexpected pairings that work fantastic. I used photos of this luxury bathrooms to inspire our master suite design. I really loved the combination of traditional elements with more contemporary pieces like the cool chrome chandeliers and lounging sofa in the center of the room.
One of my greatest tools when I am beginning a interior design project is a bathroom ideas photo gallery to pick out different pieces and decor aspects that inspire me for the new room. Of course sometimes I come up with bathroom remodel ideas out of thin air, but more often than not, there will be a part of an existing design, piece of artwork, or textile that catches my eye and inspires new plans. For this particular bathroom, it was the gorgeous tile work in the existing shower that started the whole project for me. When we got started on this space, the shower was actually the only updated piece in the room. I wanted to piggy back off of that unit for the rest of the bathroom tiles design so that we could really take advantage of its contemporary beauty.
Whenever I am in need of a little design inspiration at the beginning of a project like this master suite remodel, I always like to take a look at a bathroom ideas photo gallery because I find that they tend to jump start my creative process and give me new and exciting directions to jump off of. I tend to categorize my browsing by bathroom themes depending on what my client envisions for the space. In general, people these days are leaning more towards a neutral design that is not really contemporary nor traditional but that has more of a timeless feel and a lot of flexibility to revise over the years. I really like this particular bathroom remodel photo gallery because, as you can see, the rooms are quite neutral yet quite decorative at the same time.
