This is certainly no budget bathroom remodel, but I really think that you could take elements of this design and replicate a similar ambiance on just about any budget. The defining factor to these bathroom renovations is the timeless elegance brought about by combining rich neutral shades and avoiding bright or garish pops of color. The first place to start would be to install (or paint) antiqued white or cream cabinetry to give the base of the design. I would then do a rich brown shade on the walls like they did in order to achieve the beautiful contrast. Finally, perhaps the most notable part about this bathroom remodel 2020, is the lavish touches like the shades chandelier, antique-style clawfoot tub, dental crown molding, and marble floors.
I am super proud of this budget bathroom remodel because we essentially gutted the space and replaced just about everything, all for under $1500. Granted, my husband and I did all of the work ourselves (he is pretty handy with things like that), but I still think that the finished look is impressive considering the price tag. My advice for anybody embarking on a small budget bathroom remodel like this is to definitely do your research and shop around for the best deals. It may take some extra time and a little knowledge on your part (which you will certainly gain throughout this process), but the savings can be absolutely huge. We found this lovely slate grey tile for 30 cents a piece at an outlet store about 40 min away from where we live, which ended up being a huge cost savings for us.
I am all for a budget bathroom remodel, but I certainly want it to look good (aka high end) as well. For this reason, I am especially proud of the look that I was able to achieve for a relatively low bathroom remodel cost. You probably can't tell from the photo, but we completely gutted the space and started from the ground up. Yes, we installed all new tile, the decorative paneling on the wall, and even carried in this gorgeous new vanity on our own. Believe it or not, trying to come up with beautiful and creative bathroom ideas on a budget was probably the most fun part of this entire project. I got such a rush when I was able to find a fantastic deal on something and could not wait to rush home (or wait for it to arrive in the mail) so that I could see how it paired with everything else.
I wanted to post some before photos before we embark on our budget bathroom remodel project (of course I will also post the after shots as soon as we are done). Even though we are definitely trying to do a cheap bathroom remodel so as not to over extend ourselves this year, I really don't want it to look half done or poorly executed. My dream is to achieve that same high end look that designers come up with, but all on my own. For this reason I have been researching for hours and hours to not only see what is trending these days, but also to see what color schemes and styles go well together. I am working with a small enough space that I don't think I will have trouble doing all the work myself.
I am getting ready to embark on a budget bathroom remodel and I am a little bit nervous about managing to stay under budget. Overall I am pretty good when it comes to penny pinching, so I can't imagine that planning out bathroom designs can be a whole lot different than anything else in life. I am just intimidate by all of the high dollar purchases that are characteristic of a design project of this magnitude. Things like tile, vanities, and even toilets can really add up if you are not careful, but they are the type of things that are absolutely essential to a successful design. I also want to be careful to only choose trending bathroom ideas 2020 because I do not want to have to redo this space in a few years, you know?
We are about to embark on a budget bathroom remodel in this space and I am so excited to begin! I think that our master has a lot of potential and just needs a little bit of sprucing up. I plan on posting a series of bathroom remodel pictures on here throughout the process, and this one serves as our "before" photo. Luckily we have really nice quality cabinets, fairly neutral tile, and a good flow. The major projects that we plan to take on are painting all of the wood elements a crisp white shade to make it look current and more in line with today's trending bathroom remodel ideas 2020. Second, I will be replacing the old countertops with a brand new marble material.
