I really soft grey like this would be a great compromise to keep things light but also have some color going on. A lot of people have told me that this is one of the most popular kitchen cabinet colors 2022, which just reenforces my decision on a shade like this. If anybody has done a soft grey in their kitchen, which brand and exact color did you use? There are so many options to weed through!

I am so amazed by how much simply changing the island to blue totally revived our plain white cabinet paint colors. Before I felt that our kitchen was a little bit lackluster and average. I have really been drawn to those trendy deep blue kitchen cabinets that I have been seeing online and in magazines lately, but painting everything in here that bold of a shade seemed like way too big of a commitment for me. With the size of our kitchen, that much blue would totally overwhelm it very quickly and could be a mistake in the long run. So rather than changing all of the kitchen cabinet colors, I just hand painted the island one weekend and boy what a difference it made! I am still so happy that we did not do everything in that color, but it still adds a cheerful burst of color to the space.

Who knew that cabinet paint colors could truly change the entire feel of a space -- well not me for one! Believe it or not, all of our cabinetry used to be a deep espresso color that made this room feel super closed in despite its relatively large size. Rather than ripping out all of our kitchen cabinets (which were in relatively good condition) we decided to hire somebody to just refinish them.
