I've been looking at modern bathroom design in magazines and on television for years, so when it came time to redo our bathroom, I knew exactly what I wanted. We layered white with gray in our ceramic tiles, bathroom storage areas, and accent wall. Even the artwork hanging on the wall is a mix of white and gray. Bathroom tiles design is something we spent many hours planning, as we knew we wanted something unique and chic. We installed 3D looking tiles that bring together grays and blues that seem to hover over a white background. The tub has glass borders to prevent water spills and to lend a touch of privacy. If you're searching modern bathroom designs 2019, don't be afraid to go out on a limb and create a space that you find both beautiful and useful.
We wanted our new remodel to have a definite feel-good factor, so when we began looking at the top 10 modern bathroom designs last year, we kept that in mind. Here's our finished project. We used natural bamboo to line the large walk-in shower, the border of the tub, and the edges of the steps. I like the look, and it flatters the beige ceramic tile floor. The best bathroom ideas 2019 we found included a mix of woods, which is something we also included with the dark ceiling slabs between the tub and shower area. The door to the bathroom was painted the same color to tie the room together. Modern bathroom design can include a mix of items, and we followed that idea by placing some casual seating around the room and a few quirky lamps.
Modern bathroom ideas are on trend this year, so when we made the decision to remodel, we knew we wanted to go with a look that was fresh and contemporary. The sleek light-colored countertop you see here replaced our old school vanity that had seen better days. We didn't lose storage though, as you can see from the cherry wood cupboards and drawers. Our modern bathroom design also features a multilevel ceiling with recessed lights and large mirrors, both of which work to provide an abundance of lighting. Our clawfoot tub went out the door and in came this beautiful rectangular tub surrounded by hardwood and topped by a hanging chandelier.
Bathroom designs are everywhere you look today and, it's hard not to get caught up in the excitement of planning new ideas for your own home. Here's our newly refinished bathroom, complete with a rose gold and glass ceiling chandelier that was installed to compliment the light peach walls and beige and white ceramic floors. This understated decorating theme is similar to a modern bathroom design we found online. Our old surround tub was hauled out, and in place, we installed a rectangular bathtub with built-in wall open shelving units for towels and other necessities. We didn't want an entirely peach-colored bathroom, so to complete our original modern white bathroom theme, we added long white bathroom cupboards on both sides of the room, and a white utility closet just outside the sliding bathroom door.
As a professional remodeler, I work with clients wanting modern bathroom design that is functional and beautiful. This uptown style room is a recent project that blends natural wood with cool stainless steel. One of the bathroom design ideas my clients wanted was the inclusion of a large walk-in shower with glass doors. We added a simple natural wood bench seat to the outside of the shower to give some practical seating to the room. The large dark tiling in the shower was chosen to blend with the dark woods around the mirrors and vanity area. Today's bathroom tiles are inexpensive, come in a variety of styes and colors, and are oh-so-easy to clean.
I am going to imitate this awesome modern bathroom design in our master suite but on a slightly larger and grander scale. These were definitely wonderfully and creatively implemented small bathroom ideas because they were able to fit so many elements (even a double vessel sink and huge walk in shower) into a fairly small floor plan. However, for our house, I want to expand on these ideas even further since we have the space for it. The main difference that I want to do is make the cool walk in shower the centerpiece of the room (same tile and all) and then have a vanity of the same look flank each side. That way there is more counter space beside each vessel sink that what they pulled off in this small modern bathroom.
