My friends are giving me all this praise for our guest bath remodel, but I have to say that all credit should be directed to the small bathroom ideas photo gallery that inspired the design. I am certainly no interior decorator by any means so the way that I learned about what goes well together, what is trendy, and what types of materials I can purchasewas by looking at other people's gorgeous bathroom pictures. I was inspired by two different homes that I found in galleries on here, and blended the two designs together to create this mishmash of traditional and slightly contemporary decor. I am usually not big on color (and neither were the majority of bathroom design ideas 2022 that I looked at) so I kept things simple with just white and dark brown. I think that this was the best thing we could have done because it kept everything simple and sleek.
I would have never in a million years even considered glass tile for our shower had I not been randomly browsing through a small bathroom ideas photo gallery on here and came across a homeowner that used it throughout their entire master bath in such a beautiful and almost edgy way. In my eyes, shower tile designs were always kind of an afterthought because I did not think that you could or should do anything all that bold in there. To me, the shower was always just plain white or beige tile and not much else. Boy did that bathroom ideas photo gallery really open my eyes to a whole other world of possibilities through colors, textures, patterns, and materials that, honestly, I don't know that I even realized were available to the average homeowner.
I was really surprised by the fact that I was essentially able to plan out our entire remodel project simply by looking in a single small bathroom ideas photo gallery. As is the case with many challenges in life, thinking and obsessing over what we were going to do for this project and how I was going to plan it out on my own was far worse than the actual process of doing it. All along, the only real thing that I had to do was do a simple search of small bathroom makeovers, and I would be presented with dozens and dozens of amazing photos and inspiration. Despite all of the awesome and incredible unique designs, I knew that we ultimately wanted to stick to fairly simple grey bathroom ideas that incorporated white cabinetry and marble tile accents. That is exactly what we did here, and I could not be more proud of how it all came together.
Usually I don't really find anything special in a small bathroom ideas photo gallery because I find that the style is nothing even close to the grander and more luxurious mansions on here. Regardless of the size of the room that I happen to be working with, I always check out the bathroom remodel photo gallery on here of the super high end mansions because I figure that they most likely have the latest and greatest materials and style available. This concept is ultimately how I came up with the inspiration and small bathroom ideas for this remodel. The tile and the overall design theme was copied from a gorgeous all marble master bathroom in an ocean front home from Florida. I figure, if it is good enough for those people, it is certainly good enough for our guest bath haha.
You will find all kinds of things in a small bathroom ideas photo gallery -- some of them so good that you immediately want to get started recreating them in your house and some of it quite atrocious haha. This extremely unique subway tile bathroom is one that I am just not sure about yet. On the one hand, I find myself very drawn to the rustic yet contemporary vibe of the whole thing. I love the mixture of materials and textures to create an extremely visually tactile space. On the other hand, I think that they went a little bit over the tub with the tile. I love a subway tile bathroom as much as the next person, but I think that this particular room may have benefited from a little bit less of a good thing. This might work well in bathroom designs for small spaces, but I think that this room is a little bit too large to take on all of that tile.
I never thought that I would actually post something to the small bathroom ideas photo gallery on here because I was always the one looking through it for inspiration. But now that we finished up our remodel (that I planned out based on pictures I found on this site) I actually think that it may be good enough to help others come up with their own bathroom ideas. Trust me, this design did not come together overnight. It took a lot of research and careful planning, not to mention a few how-to youtube videos on my husband's part haha.
