I really find myself torn on this master bathroom because, on the one hand, I love all of the gray bathroom decor that they used but I also find that it clashes with the beige and brown tile pretty badly. If they had continued the bathroom colors into the shower and stuck with the marble that they used elsewhere, I think that the design would have been much more successful. I applaud the effort and the creativity, but I think that it is very important to stick with the same undertones throughout an entire room (or home even). Gray bathroom ideas tend to be quite cool-toned, so the beige accent tiles are a little bit baffling to me. What to you think -- is this bathroom a yes or no for you?
I am so pleased with our new gray bathroom decor because I think that it totally transforms our side of the house (the master is essentially in its own wing). A gray and white bathroom is probably pretty cliche considering how many people are doing them nowadays, but they are popular for a reason you know? The simplicity of the design feels so fresh and clean, and goes with just about any architecture or decor style that you could dream of. I will have fun rotating out flowers and textiles to bring color to the space depending on the season or my mood. But I am sure that you could incorporate countless bathroom decor 2022 trends as you saw fit. If you are worried about spending money on your renovation, I would highly suggest going this direction because it is just so versatile.
I am a big fan of gray bathroom decor (as you can see by the tile we just added to our master), but I am not so sure how I feel about our vanity cabinets any more. Most of the grey bathroom ideas that I have seen on here are paired with white or another shade of grey for the vanities and any additional storage units that the homeowners use. I had originally decided not to paint our cabinets when we renovated because all of the window trim in our house is the same cherry. But now that I look at these photos, I think we actually need to refinish the vanities. The brown does not accent the grey bathroom decor as much as I would have wanted it to unfortunately. Do you guys think that there is any work around for this?
This is a fun twist on gray bathroom decor for anybody who likes that trend but needs (or wants) to use warmer toned finishes for whatever reason. I first found this room because I was trying to figure out a shade of gray bathroom paint that would not clash against our very warm-toned wood floors. For whatever reason, I was convinced that we had to do a grey bathroom because they are so popular these days. I was not really paying attention to the fact that it doesn't necessarily blend well with the architect and materials of the rest of our home. So many people told me to try out Sherwin williams agreeable gray, and I was about to commit to it until I found this photo. Now I think that I am going to go in a completely different direction and mimic this place instead.
While I certainly think that gray bathroom decor is very "in" these days, in my opinion the previous owner of our home missed the mark just a little bit. Rather than looking contemporary and trendy, I feel like our master just looks rather outdated and retro. I am wondering if there is any way to transform this place into a more trendy looking gray bathroom without having to spend the money to completely guy the place and get all new tile. I am sure that the marble tile cost a ton to install, it just is not quite the type of marble that I had in mind when I visualized my dream bathroom decor ideas, you know? I am pretty much willing to try anything, so any and all ideas are certainly welcome!
This is a lovely twist on the usual gray bathroom decor that you see so much of on here and other websites and magazines lately. Not that I don't love a classic white and gray tile bathroom as much as the next person, but looking at the same thing over and over again can get pretty boring. We live in a desert area as well, so it is particularly nice for me to get to see designs that really play up the gorgeous views out the window. I would never really think to coordinate our bathroom decor with the property, but it makes so much sense if you have large floor to ceiling windows like they do (and us as well). I am definitely going to keep that in mind as we continue to plan out our master bath renovations, because I want to take a page from their book and let the natural beauty of our home shine.
