I am wondering how much does it cost to remodel a bathroom of this size and decor theme? It seems like a very luxurious (and probably expensive) design to me, but I am not exactly a professional when it comes to home renovations. We are about to undertake a bathroom remodel in our master and the design in these photos is basically everything that we could want and hope for out of the space. Only problem is we are trying to stay within a fairly strict budget, and I really have no idea how much various aspects of these designs cost. I would also be interested to know how much does it cost to remodel a bathroom yourself, because I think that I could actually do a lot of the work on my own (or would at least like to try).
I am wondering how much does it cost to remodel a bathroom to look like this if you are doing it yourself versus hiring out the labor. Of course I know that there will be a learning curve as far as doing things like tiling at whatnot on your own, but I am willing to invest the time if it will dramatically reduce our master bathroom remodel cost. Right now we have your pretty traditional 1980s bathroom that will need to be pretty much gutted. I don't want to change the footprint at all so there will be no moving plumbing or anything super challenging like that. The main thing will be ripping out and installing new tile, the rest is pretty easy (replacing the vanity, painting, light fixtures etc.) I have heard that bathroom makeovers are some of the most expensive projects that you can take on, I guess I am just looking for a ballpark comparison.
There are things that I love about our master and things that I hate about it. That is why I am wondering how much does it cost to remodel a bathroom of this size so that I can determine if we really want to open that can of worms in here. I have been looking at so many beautiful bathrooms on here that it has inspired me to want to create something luxurious like that in our own house. We will not being doing any of the work ourselves except designing it, so I will act as my own general contractor and subcontract out all of the rest of the work. I have seen a couple of sites with a bathroom remodel cost breakdown but, to be honest, I am not if that is relevant to our area (San Diego, California).
This is by far my favorite master suite design that I have come across on this site, but my primary concern is how much does it cost to remodel a bathroom to look like this. I know that it will of course vary based on what our current bathroom looks like and what sort of decor elements are already in there but, just for simplicity sake, lets pretend that it has already been gutted to bare walls. Do any contractors or designers on here know roughly how much does it cost to remodel a small bathroom to imitate the look in these photos? My husband and I are not very handy so we will have to hire out the vast majority of the work. I am good at finding bargains though so I will probably source all of the materials myself. With that being said, I would love some guidance on an average bathroom remodel cost for something like this if anybody is willing to share.
Given that this is the current state of our master bath, I really need to know how much does it cost to remodel a bathroom. I have heard and read so many mixed figures online that I am really at a loss for what to expect. I certainly don't anticipate any sort of bathroom renovation cost to be cheap (unless I get some really crappy work done), but I am hoping to get a more realistic ball park in order to identify which areas I want to focus on if we can't do everything. I am guessing that the bulk of our budget is probably going to go into the shower remodel cost but I think that that and the tub are going to end up being the main things we want done even if we can't do anything else. Those two elements are dating the space more than anything else, and even a small change would transform the look of the place to me.
My wife keeps asking me how much does it cost to remodel a bathroom so I came on here looking for help and guidance. Here are some photos of our current space and I can tell you a little bit about what we are hoping to achieve in here so that maybe somebody can give me a rough idea of how much does a bathroom renovation cost. First of all, ideally we would like to rip out all of the old tile and replace is with one of those faux marble porcelain materials that you see a lot of in the Floor & Decor stores lately. Second, in order to save money, we think we will paint the vanity white as well as all of the exposed wood doors and trims. Finally we will swap out countertops, light fixtures and wall paint. I can do some of the work like painting on my own to knock down the bathroom remodel cost as well if need be.
