I really love the room decor in this home because it is refined yet very casual and welcoming. Usually it is hard to combine those two vibe in the same vein of home decor ideas, but this designer managed to do it very well. If I had to narrow down one or two elements of this room that are my favorite, I would definitely say the vaulted paneled ceiling and the round chandeliers. Both of those items really set the tone of the room and fall right into that casual yet refined style that they have going on. I would really like to take elements of this living room design and try to translate it into our home, but with some navy blue accents. I will see how that goes and post photos if it is successful.
I love that this website is always here for me when I need some room decor inspiration or if I just want a moment to browse through beautiful homes to cheer me up or something. This is an especially nice living room decor setup because everything feels super cozy and inviting. I have always said that I want people to feel welcome in my home and like they can actually sit on the furniture. I never want people to thing that everything is too nice and put together to actually live in. Beautiful living rooms are great and all, but what is the point if you can't actually enjoy spending time with friends and family in there, you know? Everything from the neutral color palette to the plush throw strewn effortlessly over the coffee table makes me want to spend time in there.
Above all I want to have some jaw dropping architecture in my home because you really don't need much room decor to make the place look professionally done. In my opinion, this home definitely fits that bill between the gorgeous stacked stone fireplace and the vaulted ceiling covered in rich lacquered wood panelling. Each of these seemingly neutral details combine to make a pretty amazing room before you even add in furniture. This really takes a lot of the guess work out of living room decor ideas for the homeowner because you can let these elements do the talking. I like the simplistic couch and matching armchairs with just a little bit of color brought in through textiles and artwork.
The room decor is absolutely delightful in all of its understated glitz and glamour. I am definitely a luxury kind of gal so this home really speaks to me. I think that so many living room ideas that I see on here lack a certain posh home decor that takes them from ordinary to extraordinary that you feel like a queen every time you spend time in there. I really like the grey, black and gold color palette that they used in here because it brings life and dimension to the place without having to use a lot of pattern and unnecessary artwork. There are definitely a few living room ideas in here that I wrote down as options for when I redecorate my own home next year. That black and gold console table is definitely one of them.
I am just so pleased with how our room decor turned out after finally hiring a professional designer for once. I never realized how much seemingly small details like a paint color or even living room wall decor could have on a space. I think that my two favorite elements in the entire design are the grey paint on the walls and the decorative accents that adorn the bookshelves flanking the fireplace. The thought of having a very neutral space scared me a little bit because I felt like there would be no design or style to it. Boy was I wrong. All of the living room decor ideas blend together to create an incredibly cohesive and high style space that I still feel like we can relax in as a family.
Sometimes the smallest places in your home can make a huge impact with the right room decor. A lot of people do not consider the home office to be an important area to address, but I think that some of the most fun (and elegant) house decorating ideas comes from this space. For example, I love how this designer used a textured wall paper in here to set the tone for the room. The style is very chic and elegant but with a vibe that makes you want to work and be creative (something that I believe everybody needs in their home office). You could easily translate this ideas from home office decor to something you would use in a formal living room or even a sitting area in a master suite. They key is the layering of textures and patterns all in a neutral color palette.
