My family and I are big DIYers and just finished up this master bath remodel last week. We all pitched in as a group to make this budget bathroom remodel a success by doing most of the work ourselves and hunting down bargain finds. The gorgeous distressed navy vanities are right on trend with the hottest looks in Pottery Barn magazine, but are actually our old units just refinished in a more updated way. The major project that we took on what the total shower remodel and installing tile floors. I knew that I wanted a marble look tile for both, so we found some for a great price at our local tile outlet and actually installed in ourselves. The subway tile walls were here already and look so perfect against the new faux-marble tiles.
Now that the kids have all grown up and left home for college, my wife and I decided to spruce up the kids bedrooms and bathrooms. The rooms are not very large so we wanted to keep the renovation simple, but sophisticated. After searching through countless bathroom pictures to find inspiration, we finally agreed that we both loved the design of this room. The space seems just as large as my sons bathroom and he has a similar vanity cabinet that we can reuse. I think a great way to keep a low budget in a bath remodel is to use existing cabinetry and fixtures to reduce spending cost. My wife is planning on making this a DIY project refurbishing the existing vanity and staining it with a dark wood stain like this picture. Another way we are planning to cut down on our small bath remodel cost is to get our countertop from a home improvement resale store that has huge discounts on tiles, countertops and fixtures for your home.
My husband and I are trying to plan out our master bath remodel, but have been unsure of the style that we want to commit to. We are trying our best to keep the bath remodel cost low, but when you look at the cost of materials and labor to hire somebody it adds up pretty quickly. I thought that the room in these photos would be a good place to begin, because we can actually reuse a lot of our existing elements (like the travertine tile and pedestal sink we already have), but try to replicate the lovely dark wood vanity and claw foot tub for an updated look. We wanted to have our ideas pretty well planned out before we start looking for bathroom remodeling contractors, but I think that simply showing them these photos would be a good place to begin. Can any contractors on here weigh in?
My team and I just completed this bath remodel and wanted to get on here and share it immediately. You may be surprised to hear that the total bathroom remodel cost was quite low compared to what it appears. We actually repurposed the existing marble shower tiles, but by adding this gorgeous frameless glass door it gives the entire unit a far more new and updated look than the age of the tile would suggest. The mini bathroom shower remodel as well as the new grey vanity took up the bulk of the budget, but they are the focal points of the room. We kept everything else simple with light grey paint, a bargain vintage mirror that we found at a flea market, and limited decorative accents. The overall look is extremely elegant yet very budget friendly.
I have been trying to decide on the best bath remodel to use in my master as we build our new home, and there are just so many to choose from. After a lot of research I found that it popular to use a combination of bathroom themes, rather than sticking to just one. I found these bath remodel Ideas and thought it was the perfect combination of all the styles I love and want in my house. The design blends traditional with a touch of rustic and french country themes. The traditional stone tile in the shower paired with the bold metallic wallpaper makes for a beautiful accent. While some like to choose wild designs, the most popular master bath remodel ideas this year are the simple monotone tiles like in this room. The dark wood cabinetry and tuscan bronze sink and shower fixtures add a beautiful contrast to the light shades in the room. This combination of three popular bathroom themes is the perfect design for my new house.
We just finished up this gorgeous beachy bath remodel and could not be more pleased with how it turned out. Even though we primarily stuck with neutral bathroom renovation ideas like the all-white vanity, beige tile flooring and beautifully papered walls, I did want to have a little bit of fun with a bright accent wall. Vibrant teal blue is a bit bold for some, but when brought in through sleek glass subway tiles, I think it has a bit more subtle look while still being fresh and fun. I certainly don't think that it is overwhelming to the overall bathroom remodel but, instead, adds a touchy of whimsy that would blend well with a number of color palettes and overall decor schemes.
