Oftentimes when I am looking at galleries on here I feel as though if you see one small bathroom you have seen them all. So many designers stick within the same trends, same color palettes, and even same tile patterns that there is rarely anything unique that catches my eye. This, however, was one of those small bathroom ideas 2022 that really stood out to me because they brought something just a little bit different to the table -- mixed patterns. So many people are afraid to play around with bold designs in a small space, but I love how this designer really went there. They incorporated a whopping 3 large tile patterns throughout this small bathroom remodel, and in varying shades of the same charcoal grey tones. Everything else was kept fairly simple in order to allow the tile to really shine -- and boy does it!
My goal is to translate this beautiful (and large) design into the confines of a small bathroom that we have in our guest suite. I have spent hours and hours looking through galleries and idea guides on here to find small bathroom ideas but, to be honest, most of those rooms have been very uninspiring to me. Where I found the most ideas was actually some of these larger and more luxurious homes that had the money and space to incorporate more unique designs. Obviously I know that I cannot fit all of this into our small space, but I can certainly take these ideas and translate them on a smaller scale. Small bathroom makeovers always take some creativity in order to make them work, but I am definitely willing to put in the time and effort.
For a small bathroom like this you really do want to use light and similar shades in order to make it feel as large and airy as possible. I think that whoever designed it did a fantastic job of understanding which trendy grey bathroom ideas would work in here and which ones may simply be too much for such a limited footprint. I think that my favorite part is actually the subtle grey glass subway tile that they used throughout the majority of the wall and floor space in there. It is simple yet adds a lot of pizazz to an otherwise very minimalist design. If you are looking for bathroom designs for small spaces, I definitely think that this is one to take note of -- I know that I am going to save this for future use.
This is such a fun small bathroom design that really makes you feel as though you are in a much larger space. From what I have seen on here, most small bathroom designs 2022 are very heavy on the whites and other light toned shades. You rarely ever see a darker color like black or even bold metal materials -- probably because there is this fear that those shades will make your room look smaller. I totally disagree with this fear because I think that you can actually use these bolder tones to create awesome depth to your design, you just have to be strategic with how you do it. They used the black tile in the shower but kept all of the bathroom design ideas outside of that shower light and bright and simple. This helped to offset the bold color while giving it a very artistic and modern vibe.
This is a really nice small bathroom that doesn't feel like they had to sacrifice on design because of limited space. I feel like a lot of the trending small bathroom designs on here seem to be lacking something and it is pretty obvious that they needed to make a sacrifice on something in the overall plan due to square footage issues. My favorite part of the entire design is definitely the miniature marble subway tile in the shower stall. It is a subtle yet elegant touch that is reflected in the soft grey vanity. The bathroom ideas are very well chosen and feel "complete" and a natural transition from the guest bedroom beyond. This is definitely a win for in my opinion and one that I would imitate in my own house.
Overall I think that this is a really nice small bathroom but it definitely does not wow me with any sort of fantastic or unique design. This would be perfect if you need guest bathroom ideas that are simple, fairly budget-friendly, and can be embellished with color through artwork or little bits of decor if need be. This is definitely not one of those rooms that you immediately want to copy every single detail, but I don't necessarily think that that is a bad thing. Each room in your home does not have to make a bold statement. Sometimes you just need simple yet effect small bathroom designs with shower stalls that are functional, pretty, and get the job done! This definitely falls into that category for me.
