Bedroom Ideas

What do you guys think about using large stone fireplace ideas like this in smaller rooms with shorter ceilings than the average large two-story great room that you see them in? I am undecided on whether or not I like this idea. Don't get me wrong, I think that rock fireplace ideas are absolutely gorgeous in the living room of a large lofty log cabin, but I feel like in the context of the small guest bedroom, the unit is a bit too overwhelming.

I bet that it creates a tone of warmth in the winter and serves its purpose there, but it does take up a ton of the small space. If I add something like this to our guest bedroom, I think I would do some sort of miniature fireplace wall ideas instead.

As we have been finalizing the plans for our new build, one of the definitely must haves is one of these stone fireplace ideas like in this living room. I definitely want natural stone as opposed to brick or veneer or something, because I think that stone makes the most rustic yet elegant fireplace designs. We are doing a similar stain on our wood floors and incorporating the same stained trim around windows and doors, so the beige stone hearth seems like the perfect fit for our design. I am going to look through some more stone fireplace pictures to make sure that I don't find something that I like better, but I am pretty sure that this is going to be the overall concept that we end up using.

I absolutely adore stone fireplace ideas because they instantly make any room feel cozy and welcoming. I am not much for rustic styles, but something about living room ideas with fireplace features really speaks to me. Perhaps it is because I love to curl up on the couch with a good book, and what could be better than doing so in front of a roaring fire. Anyways, the point is that I want to try to figure out how to incorporate a fireplace like this into my ultra elegant traditional style home. I am not sure that it would really go with our formal living room, but maybe adding a stone veneer fireplace to the sunroom could work. What do you all think, can we make it work or should I stick to dreaming?

I love incorporating stone fireplace ideas into a sunroom or screened in porch, because they instantly make the place cozier and allow you to use the room longer into the colder months. It is a very common misconception that a stone fireplace makeover is going to cost you a ton of money, but there are a lot of awesome budget friendly products that you can use to create gorgeous units at a very reasonable price point. I bet you would never know that this gorgeous stone unit is actually veneer rather than the real thing. There are so many products that give the same look as stacked stone fireplace ideas, but in large panels or sheets that can be quickly and easily mounted to your foundation.

A lot of people don't realize the decorative appeal that stone fireplace ideas have in modern style homes, most just think of rustic country cottages as being the only vehicle for these gorgeous features. One of my favorite ways to warm up (literally and figuratively) an edgy modern design is to incorporate fireplace ideas in the main living areas. Not only does it create an awesome gathering space for friends and family, but it also adds texture and color in ways that simple paint or artwork cannot. If you are adding a stacked stone fireplace to a contemporary style home, definitely look for materials with crisper edges (as opposed to river rock) and a more uniform coloring like in this house.

When it came time to remodel our living area, stone fireplace ideas were tops on our list of things to consider. We wanted a fireplace that would add warmth to the room in both look and function. We looked at fireplace pictures and decided on this rustic-looking stone fireplace complete with a heavy oak slab mantle. The oak matches the existing beams in the ceiling and also complimented our wood plank floors. Thanks to an interior designer, we found a few home decor ideas that would compliment our white couch and blue and white living room chairs. We added two archways to the fireplace wall to create storage space and bookshelves. A textured statement floor rug in light colors draws your eyes directly to the fireplace, creating a cozy zone for all who enter.
