I am constantly redecorating all of the rooms where we live as I find new and popular home design ideas that I want to try out. This gorgeous grey and brown ultra contemporary kitchen design has me wanting to renovate our current space to have more of an edgy look like this. I wanted to share a second area of one of my favorite projects because I think that the house decorating ideas can certainly inspire others. One of the things that I strive to achieve with my designs is unique looks that you haven't seen before or that you will not walk into a friends home and see replicated. In this house we combined the old world architectural details against ultra modern furnishings to create a cool dichotomy of styles. In the master, we went with simple beige bedroom wall colors to allow the gorgeous ceiling to pop. Then we added these beautiful and luxurious modern furnishings including a mirrored canopy bed, crystal chandelier and plush velvet couch.
This family den is in dire need of some house decorating ideas to give it some style and flare. We have already tackled the majority of the house interior design, but we have been holding off on this space because it generally acts as a party room for the kids to hang out with friends at night and on the weekends. But we do want to make this space nice for them so we are looking for ways that we can upgrade the space without spending a ton of money. The first thing that needs to go is the old and dingy sectional that we have had since they were babies. I was a bit nervous when my husband and I decided to take on all of the interior decor ourselves, and rely on our own house decorating ideas as opposed to those of a professional. We began this process with the living room design because we felt it would be the least intimidating as well as a space that we would use the most. I was particularly inspired by the stunning architectural details on the tall vaulted ceiling. The ashy grey wood combined with a a sky light at the top gives the space an old world vibe but with some modern touches. This combined with the tile work on the arched doorways and large brick hearth set the stage for a very traditional Spanish style space. However, I wanted to use home decor ideas for living room that were a bit more unexpected. So instead of going old world, I accented these rich details with plush contemporary furniture and a sleek beige and grey color palette.
